Waste sorting and recycling is a growing trend, and is an important focus of every Disney resort, including Shanghai Disney Resort.  As a highlight of this year’s Disney Earth Month, the resort is encouraging its guests to learn more about recycling methods, and make a difference in their daily lives.  From April 1 through April 30, Xiao Tui will return to travel the pathways of Shanghai Disneyland, welcoming guests and spreading helpful environmental messages. As well as chatting with guests, Xiao Tui will also help promote the benefits of recycling and sorting, encouraging everyone to take action by emphasizing how small changes can have a positive effect on the environment around them.

“Environmental care and protection has been a key part of Shanghai Disney Resort since day one, and throughout April we are excited to be able to share our commitment and daily environmental practices with our guests,” said Joe Schott, president and general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort. “With a wide range of fun and engaging initiatives being held across the resort, we hope to continue to protect the planet together and instill in everyone a true appreciation for the beauty of nature.”

Shanghai Disney Resort has always embraced the Disney tradition of environmental care and as part of this commitment has established longstanding waste management and recycling systems. As well as offering all guests the opportunity to recycle using dedicated recycling bins around the resort, Shanghai Disney Resort today also highlighted a number of waste management practices it employs both on stage and backstage, including:

-       In all park restaurants, Cast Members sort waste into designated bins before sending plates to be washed.

-       Any green waste generated as part of the resort’s daily horticultural management will be collected and sent to a green waste treatment plant to be turned into nutrient-rich compost.

-       In the resort’s backstage area, different recycling bins are available for all Cast. The resort also encourages Cast to think green via internal newsletters, billboards, and regular environmental activities.

This April, Shanghai Disney Resort is also continuing to promote wildlife protection through a Wildlife Photo Exhibition. Set to open in Disneytown on April 8 in partnership with WildAid, the photos being exhibited were taken by Chinese actress and WildAid ambassador Jiang Yiyan. The exhibition will be free to all guests from April 9 - 30 and will highlight the need for everyone to work towards wildlife protection.

Throughout Earth Month, young guests and their families can once again enjoy an adventure through nature with a trip to Shanghai Disneyland’s Gardens of Imagination. Full of colorful seasonal blossoms, the Gardens of Imagination are the perfect place for guests to appreciate the beauty of nature during a day out at the park. To help them on their way, a Nature Exploration Guide full of fun facts and information can be collected from Cast Members.

This year’s Earth Month activities can also be found throughout Disneytown from April 12 - 22. Whether it is learning about plants from horticultural experts, taking a closer look at the wild world of insects, or embarking on a fun adventure featuring a variety of birds at Wishing Star Park, guests can enjoy Disneytown’s captivating vibe while also connecting with the natural world.

As spring returns with an abundance of beautiful blooming flowers, Shanghai Disney Resort invites guests to celebrate the season and enjoy a refreshing day out exploring the resort’s wide range of foodie-focused offerings. Inspired by a long heritage of Disney-themed Food & Wine Festivals worldwide, Shanghai Disney Resort’s inaugural International Food & Drink Fest will feature a fabulous array of activities and unique food and beverage offerings for the whole family to enjoy. With 13 different international food market booths to choose from, guests can stimulate their taste buds with regional cuisine from exotic regions from Hawaii to the Middle East, indulge in a romantic Italian dish, or sample succulent Seoul food from the South Korean booth. Menus from each location feature unique dishes created using fresh, healthy ingredients as well as a range of non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine and cocktails from every corner of the globe.





















Guests are also invited to ignite their passion for cooking at the daily Disney · Chef Cooking Show at Disneytown’s Lakeshore Lawn. Here, guests can watch and learn from local Disney chefs and culinary experts as they come to share their passion for creative cuisine by showcasing their culinary techniques, insider tricks, helpful tips and by teaching recipes that guests can recreate at home. With a whole range of classes and recipes being taught, the Disney · Chef Cooking Show promises to be fun for guests of all ages.













Guests looking to get hands-on and receive a masterclass from a professional chef can also take part in our fun signature Disney · Chef Studio. Here, guests can spend time learning from one of Disney’s top chefs - sharpening their culinary skills with an assortment of tips and tricks as they learn how to make some of the resort’s most popular haut cuisine, including Blue Summer Crab Salad and Lobster Risotto. Of course, kids are also invited to take part, and aspiring young chefs can learn how to combine a number of ingredients to make their very own candy apples, Disney chocolate marshmallows, and Minnie cranberry muffins. A free Chef Studio is open for fun several times a day from Monday to Friday and features classes on dessert decoration, coffee demos, wine tasting and more, while other paid tasting and cooking classes are also available at weekends, igniting guests’ passion for food. Chef Donald will also be making surprise appearances throughout both the Chef Studio and Chef Cooking Show on weekends.



Throughout the 23 day festival, an impressive assortment of talented artists and live bands will be available to entertain guests in addition to an array of live music, entertainment offerings and special activities. Guests can immerse themselves in the joy of the festival at the Open-air Show held daily on the Disneytown stage.

From June 3 through 9, guests can celebrate Donald Duck’s Birthday with special shows, exclusive merchandise, new food and drinks, and much more.

Donald Duck, one of the most popular Disney characters worldwide, and a fan favorite with Chinese guests of all ages since the opening of Shanghai Disney Resort, is celebrating his birthday on June 9. Created by Walt Disney himself, Donald Duck debuted in “The Wise Little Hen” Silly Symphony short back in 1934. In honor of his birthday, Shanghai Disney Resort will be hosting a multi-day celebration from June 3 through 9, with a plethora of Donald-inspired merchandise, food, beverages, entertainment and more offered throughout the resort.





Since Shanghai Disney Resort’s Grand Opening in 2016, Donald Duck has made hundreds of thousands of Chinese guests of all generations smile, laugh, and quack, with a strong nostalgic resonance for the character that many of them grew up with. Back in 1936, Donald Duck appeared in a comic in The China Press alongside Walt Disney’s other cartoon characters, all offering their Christmas greetings. Soon after, Donald Duck began to appear in a number of cartoons and comic books throughout China and became an endearing character thanks to his adorable fiery temper. Je comprends pas pourquoi Dlp ne propose pas une Splash Parade ou une air de jeux d’eau (Bon une Splash and wet parade ,c’est plus rentable qu’une zone de jeux d’eau ouvert 3 mois par an ). C’est ce qui manque le plus l’été. A défaut d’un Splash Ride beaucoup trop cher . Ils pourraient proposer ça ,quand je vois le succès des Brumisateurs dans les 2 parcs ,ça donne à réfléchir.

A new aircraft depicting Duffy and Friends took off on its maiden flight today in celebration of the upcoming Duffy Month at Shanghai Disney Resort this September. The plane, carrying a host of special guests, flew from Kunming in China’s southwest to Shanghai, following an exciting unveiling ceremony at the Kunming Changshui International Airport. The new Duffy·Friendship Express marks the fourth Disney-themed aircraft to join China Eastern Airlines’ fleet as part of its partnership with Shanghai Disney Resort, following the unveiling of the popular Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land-themed Toy Story·Happy Holiday Express, which was launched last spring.









Duffy the Disney Bear is a loveable, cuddly teddy bear that was hand sewn by Minnie Mouse and given to Mickey as a companion for his many ocean voyages. Disney fans across China adore Duffy and his huggable group of fluffy friends - ShellieMay, Gelatoni and StellaLou - and today, the loveable team embarked on a joyful new journey as the newly decorated plane took off into the open skies.
 
During the inauguration ceremony in Kunming, the capital of China’s Yunnan Province, leadership from Shanghai Disney Resort and China Eastern Airlines jointly unveiled the colorful new “Duffy and Friends”-themed airplane in front of a large group of invited guests, including media, celebrities and Duffy fans decked out in Duffy-themed apparel excited to see their favorite teddy bear. Among them was the talented young actor Chen Xingxu, a loyal Duffy and Friends fan who maintains an expansive collection of Duffy-themed merchandise.





The exterior design of the plane features Duffy and his friends on their way to another adventure. From the moment passengers are handed a commemorative Duffy-themed boarding pass, their immersive and memorable Duffy experience begins.





A series of Duffy-themed experiences both at the airport and in-flight were introduced alongside the Duffy·Friendship Express launch. These magical surprises instantly captured the hearts of the special guests who then boarded the flight for its maiden journey to Shanghai







Flight attendants wearing Duffy and Friends headbands provide a warm welcome to passengers as they step on board and discover the cute Duffy and Friends details throughout the plane. Adorable Duffy and Friends images line the entire interior of the aircraft, from cushion covers to luggage containers - with images even on the cabin walls. A new in-flight video helps passengers to get better acquainted with Duffy and his friends and fall even more in love with him and his heartwarming stories. Passengers departing from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport will find Duffy-themed check-in counters and some guests will also experience a fun “Duffy shuttle bus” that transports them from the gate to the plane.

A Month of Special Duffy-Themed Experiences Await at Shanghai Disney Resort

Continuing the exciting Duffy news, Shanghai Disney Resort announced that starting this September, guests will be able to enjoy the fun-loving companionship of Duffy and Friends like never before.  The first-ever “Duffy’s Heartfelt Moments” celebration will be held from September 2nd to 30th during which, Duffy and Friends’ stories of friendship and adventure will come to life at Shanghai Disney Resort in an exciting month of joyful celebrations and surprises. Guests will also experience a host of novel Duffy-themed decorations, adorable new shows, memorable themed food and beverage offerings, stylish merchandise, and much more, thereby becoming immersed in the joy-filled world of Duffy and his delightful friends.
 
As part of the celebration, the iconic floral Mickey display that greets guests at the entrance to Shanghai Disneyland will be transformed into a breathtaking floral Duffy, created from thousands of vibrant flowers and colors. To add to the atmosphere, from September 2nd to September 30th, the Shanghai Disneyland Band will put on a brand-new Duffy and Friends performance each morning, welcoming guests from around the world with a high-spirited mix of music and fun. Then, from September 16th to 30th, a special Duffy parade will wind its way through Mickey Avenue featuring Duffy, ShellieMay, Gelatoni and StellaLou joined by a host of dancers. From September 2nd to 30th, an engaging Duffy-themed social wall near Il Paperino will become the perfect backdrop for fun poses and cute selfies to share on social media and remember an incredible Shanghai Disneyland visit. Guests will find even more fun experiences at the Gardens of Imagination, where they can place their Duffy plush in a variety of cute, miniature settings for unique photoshoots as they create their own Duffy stories.

Effectivement les sacs sont fouillés en détail à l'entrée du parc - mon copain avait un paquet de gâteaux, la cast était super perplexe pour savoir si elle lui laissait ou pas. Elle lui a demandé "you have baby?" en mode bon si il a un bébé ça peut se comprendre des gâteaux, tandis que pour un adulte...

Au final elle nous a laissé les gâteaux, c'était il me semble pile au moment où la question prenait de l'ampleur

La 30ème édition du Shanghai Tourism Festival qui se déroule du 14 septembre au 6 octobre 2019 a présenté sa parade annuelle composée de 25 chars et a pu à nouveau compter sur la participation de Shanghai Disney Resort avec un char inspiré par le Storybook Express sous la conduite de Mickey et Minnie à bord duquel ont pris place Duffy the Disney Bear, ShellieMay, Gelatoni et Stella Lou.

Shanghai Disney Resort Announces the Return of the Disney Imaginations Shanghai Design Competition

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, Shanghai Disney Resort continues to nurture young talent and drive creativity through design innovation

Shanghai Disney Resort today announced the long-awaited return of Disney Imaginations Shanghai, following the huge success of last year’s inaugural competition. This year’s contest brings a new project challenge, an expanded set of participating universities, and more opportunities for full-time students to let their creativity flow and design innovative concepts to present in 2020.

This year, Shanghai Disney Resort continues its collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering Shanghai to invite even more universities to put forward teams to showcase their creativity, innovation and design prowess in order to compete and learn what it takes to create a magical experience. This second competition once again showcases Shanghai Disney Resort’s commitment to nurturing local talent and providing opportunities for creative teams and individuals. Ten different universities will be taking part, including the first-ever institution from Hangzhou. The competing students will be from the following universities: Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, East China University of Science and Technology, Donghua University, Shanghai University, Shanghai Theatre Academy, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts and China Academy of Art.

Winners of the 2019-2020 Disney Imaginations Shanghai competition will be offered internships at Shanghai Disney Resort, win a cash prize, and will join other young talents from around the world for the opportunity of a lifetime – to travel to Glendale, California on a funded trip to the home of Walt Disney Imagineering to learn from the best in the industry. The second and third place teams will also receive cash prizes and the chance to interview for prestigious internships at Shanghai Disney Resort.

The competition launches in autumn 2019, with a traveling roadshow where both the competition and the project challenge will be presented to the participating universities. Teams will have the chance to register in October, and will be able to submit entries from November 15, 2019 through January 10, 2020. All submitted entries will be evaluated and finalists will be announced in February 2020. Competitors in the final will have around 15 minutes to present their entry to a panel of experienced judges and can use anything they wish to enhance their presentation, including mock-ups and 3D plans.

Shanghai Disney Resort started Disney Imaginations Shanghai in 2018 in collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering Shanghai, and finalists from last year’s competition had the chance to visit Shanghai Disney Resort to take part in presentation workshops and exclusive trainings with Disney Imagineers and were also given the chance to interview for internships in departments throughout the resort. On November 20, 2018, Team Magic Plate from East China University of Science and Technology was selected as the winner of the inaugural competition after delivering a stellar presentation. Each member of the four-person team, along with two members from other finalist teams are currently enjoying internships at Shanghai Disney Resort.

The Walt Disney Imagineering Imaginations Design Competition was originally started in 1991 by Walt Disney Imagineering to seek out and nurture the next generation of Imagineers. The program has become a renowned competition and has expanded across the globe to include separate versions run by Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Shanghai Disney Resort. Provided with a project challenge, students work in teams to deliver a concept similar to how Disney Imagineers develop their blue sky projects, providing the opportunity for students to showcase their skills and talents to Disney leadership.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go! The 2019 Autumn Disney Inspiration Run Gets off to a Flying Start

This morning, thousands of families, friends and fitness fans laced up their sneakers and made their way to Shanghai Disney Resort for an exciting first day of the 2019 Autumn Disney Inspiration Run. Dressed in an array of Disney-inspired costumes, participants were full of smiles as they took to the scenic 3.5KM and Kids Run courses.



With nearly 10,000 runners in attendance today, the starting line was abuzz with excitement as Donald Duck, Mickey and Minnie sounded the horns for the respective groups and participants began their magical morning of fun and fitness. Along the way, runners were encouraged and greeted by a whole host of Disney Characters, including many Disney Villains making their first appearance in the race, as they posed for pictures in front of iconic Disney scenery, including the Enchanted Storybook Castle. The autumn season was celebrated as participants donned creative outfits and costumes in the spirit of Halloween, while those who enjoyed the Kids Run were also able to play games in Wishing Star Park during the exciting family day out.



In the lead up to the Disney Inspiration Run, participants were invited to submit photos of their costumes on social media and take part in a brand-new dress up competition. Winners were then selected by a panel of judges and today had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to start the run at the front of the race, alongside a number of celebrities. At the end of the 3.5KM run, a special closing ceremony attended by Donald and Daisy Duck was hosted, celebrating the spirit of sports, fun and healthy living with loved ones.



Today also marked the return of the popular Kids Run at Wishing Star Park, where thousands of young runners and their families dressed up for a beautiful day outdoors. The Kids Run included a 100 meter dash, where kids were cheered on by Chip ‘n’ Dale, who appeared in their special Halloween costumes, and were presented with a unique medal after completing the event. Fun activities along the course encouraged kids to stay active and healthy.



The 2019 Autumn Disney Inspiration Run once again celebrates diversity and inclusivity and by working closely with local NGO, beYoureyeS, the Official Charity Partner of this year’s autumn run, the resort welcomed runners who are visually impaired to participate in the event. A total of 40 visually impaired runners and guides took part in today’s 3.5KM run. Tomorrow on October 20, a group of 50 participants with disabilities from Shanghai Sports Training Center for Disabled Persons plus another 10 visually impaired runners and guides will join the 5KM run.



SKECHERS once again sponsored the 2019 Autumn Disney Inspiration Run as the Official Presenting Participant, continuing their involvement from the previous two runs by supporting Shanghai Disney Resort to create a unique sports experience for all runners throughout the weekend. Marvel Characters to Descend on Shanghai Disney Resort for the 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run

Following the huge success of Disney Inspiration Runs since 2018, Shanghai Disney Resort today announced that the 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run will take place on April 18 – 19, 2020. For the first time, participants of all ages will be surrounded by Marvel-themed fun as they run, jog or walk through Shanghai Disney Resort during the fitness-focused weekend. The much-anticipated run weekend will provide a wide range of running options, including a 3.5km, 5km, 10km and Kids Run, as well as a brand-new Challenge Run.



“We are extremely excited to announce the return of the Disney Inspiration Run in spring 2020,” said Joe Schott, President and General Manager, Shanghai Disney Resort. “We have long been committed to providing a variety of opportunities for guests of all ages to keep fit and enjoy the great outdoors, and the Disney Inspiration Run weekends are fantastic occasions for families to get together, dress up and journey through the resort. The 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run encourages guests to dress up as their favorite Marvel Super Heroes and Disney characters, before lacing up their sneakers and tackling their course with loved ones. While many beloved Disney characters will again appear along the course in their brand-new seasonal outfits, this unique Marvel-themed run weekend will also include Marvel Super Hero appearances at the kick-off and awards ceremonies, new Marvel-themed apparel, special medals for runners and exciting opportunities for photos of favorite Marvel Heroes throughout the runs. The 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run will offer a range of courses, for different ages and abilities.

•A 3.5km run will be held on both April 18 and April 19 and will be open to runners aged 5 and older (children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the run).

•A Kids Run will be held on both days of the weekend, giving young runners an opportunity to enjoy a unique Marvel-themed running experience in a specially-designed course in Wishing Star Park, with exciting appearances from Spider-Man and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their Color Fest costumes. The Kids Run will be open to runners aged between 2 and under 5 years old (all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times).

For daring runners looking for a challenge worthy of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes, a brand-new Challenge Run allows guests to take on both the 5km and 10km distances. Challengers will participate in the 5km run on April 18, and return on April 19 to participate in the 10km run. Designed for those who want to test their mettle, the Challenge Run will provide runners with an exciting opportunity to take part in the ultimate running experience Shanghai Disney Resort has to offer. Limited spots are available and the run is open to guests aged 16 and older as of the day of the event.



Each participant that crosses the finish line will receive a Marvel-themed medal, with Spider-Man appearing on the 3.5km medal, Captain America on the 5km medal, Iron Man on the 10km medal and a host of characters on the Kids Run medal. Each participant in the 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run will also receive a Marvel-themed T-shirt emblazoned with a Marvel Super Hero, including Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Captain America, Spider-Man, and a variety of characters on the Kids Run T-shirt.



Public registration for the 10km, 5km, 3.5km and Kids Run of the 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run will open at 10:00 local time on February 28, 2020, while registration for the Challenge Run (consisting of both the 5km and 10km runs) will open at 10:00 on February 13. All places will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Starting February 10, prospective participants can visit the official Disney Inspiration Run website for more information on registration, event details and special early bird offers. As part of registration for the 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run, for the first time, participants will be able to customize their bibs with a Marvel character, with two options to choose from for each race.

Participants will be able to start pre-filling in their personal information on the website starting February 13. Also starting that day, a limited number of special packages will be available to help participants secure a spot before general public registration. These packages include the Disney Inspiration Run Entry and Hotel Package for Two, where participants will receive two run slots for the same day and a discounted one-night stay at a resort hotel during the race weekend. Also available is the Disney Inspiration Run Premier Package, which includes a participation ticket, access to an exclusive area to collect the official race pack, one reserved free parking space, access to a designated running area behind the race starting point, access to an exclusive cheering area for a supporter and an exclusive lounge during the race, exclusive character meet and greet opportunities, and a unique customized medal with the runner’s name engraved on the back presented after the run.

As the Presenting Participant of previous Disney Inspiration Runs, SKECHERS will continue their support at the 2020 Spring Disney Inspiration Run. In addition to a presence throughout the weekend, SKECHERS will support participants by providing them with a variety of sports gear, including the runners’ unique themed T-shirts, and Kang Shifu returns as the Official Water Sponsor.

Cette fermeture s'inscrit dans un arsenal plus large de mesures visant à limiter la propagation du coronavirus de Wuhan : mise en quarantaine de près de 33 millions de personnes dans la province de Hubei, annulation des festivités du nouvel an à Beijing, fermeture de plusieurs sites touristiques (sections de la grande muraille, cité interdite, tombeaux des Ming, forêt des pagodes, parc olympique). Ces actions sont déployées à la suite de la réunion d'urgence convoquée mercredi dernier par l'Organisation mondiale de la santé.

Sans oublié la situation sanitaire sur place c'est un peu terrible pour moi j'ai "programmé" mon rêve et un séjour passant par shanghai disneyland début mars.
