Zootopia [Shanghai Disneyland - 2023]

Malheureusement les multiples suspensions du chantier et les problèmes d'approvisionnement de certains matériaux, conséquences de la pandémie, ont ralenti l'exécution, remettant en question l'inauguration en 2021 et la projetant dans un premier temps en 2022, ensuite en 2023.

On constate que depuis l'été dernier les dernières communications ne font plus allusion à 2023, se contentant de la mention "actuellement en cours de construction".

Alors, l'inauguration du land aura-t-elle finalement lieu avant la fin de l'année ou serait-elle à nouveau reportée, sans (encore) partager de concrète intention/visée pour celle-ci ? A ce stade, on ne peut qu'attendre une hypothétique déclaration du resort.

le land sera quand même petit et n'aura rien à envier en étroitesse aux futurs lands des Walt Disney Studios...

J’attend le retour à la normale pour les avions, je ferais un
Tokyo Osaka( Universal) Shanghai HongKong, Pekin et Taiwan.
j’ai connu shanghai avant disneyland ,  Universal singapour, HK Ocean Park,  HKD ( Mystic Manor) et Pekin.
Mes buts: découvrir Tokyo Disneyland, Universal Osaka, pirates des caraïbes à Shanghai , Universal Pekin, et refaire Mystic Manor qui me manque beaucoup.
Je ne ferais pas un voyage juste pour Shanghai..

et j’ai mieux mangé à Hong kong ou Singapour qu’en chine.
Sans à priori.. j’aime les surprises avec un regard neuf, sans vouloir retrouver Anaheim ou Orlando ( quatre fois chacuns) .  je crois qu’aucuns n’ont galaxy’s edge en asie( mes lands préférés) et j’ai hate de faire la version japonaise de splash mountain.
je me concentrerais sur l’inedit( je ne referais plus jamais philarmagic par exemple)

Pourquoi un retour à la normale pour les avions ? Y'a un soucis ?
Car je suis en train de regarder les vols pour Shanghai et c'est assez cher, mais je ne sais pas si le prix est considéré comme normal ou pas.

Quelqu'un sait si c'est considéré comme un nouveau land ou si c'est une zone au sein de Fantasyland? Malgré le fait que le projet a l'air impressionnant et que l'attraction va surement être incroyable je ne comprends pas trop ce placement dans le parc (des gratte-ciel juste à coté d'une zone contes de fées)...J'aurais bien aimé qu'ils étoffent et agrandissent les lands existants qui sont déjà exceptionnelles avec de nouvelles zones et attractions mais vu qu'on est dans l'era mini-land à tout prix de Disney

Oui, Zootopia est le huitième land du parc Shanghai Disneyland.

Des gens ont reçu une invitation pour le 5 Septembre mais le "Creative Preview" me laisse penser que c'est pas du tout pour voir une attraction et une zone prête à ouvrir.

La pandémie a sacrément affecté la Chine malheureusement. Avant ça, ils tenaient les délais. Avril 2011, début des travaux du parc pour une ouverture estimée au printemps 2016. Il a bien ouvert en Juin 2016, avec toutes les attractions actuelles le jour J. 5 ans pour construire tout Shanghai Disneyland.

L'impatience demeure mais l'essentiel est que Zootopia soit une réussite à la fin. Si ils arrivent à refaire le coup de Rise of Resistance (en terme d'ambition, d'effets, d'innovation) dans l'univers de Zootopia ça sera fabuleux.

Nan mais bien sûr, c'est au même niveau que les retards du land Frozen à HK.
Ce que je regrette surtout c'est la quasi absence de com du parc, contrairement à HK justement.

C'est vrai que ce silence me laisse croire à une ouverture pour 2024 et pas avant. On est fin Août et la seule news c'est cette invitation à une "creative preview". Niveau communication, c'est déjà une avancée cela dit

On sera fixé le 5 Septembre, Si ils n'annoncent pas de date à cet évènement, c'est sans doute mort pour 2023.

C'est clair que l'absence quasi-totale de communication est troublant, on ne sait presque rien de ce que sera ce nouveau ride alors qu'on est a priori à quelques mois de l'ouverture. Ceci dit il se passe la même chose pour Fantasy Springs à Tokyo qui devrait arriver dans moins d'un an, le land Frozen à HK fait donc plutôt figure d'exception avec des photos/vidéos partagées assez régulièrement.

Pour en revenir à Zootopia, la blogueuse qui a posté l'invitation dans le lien partagé plus haut semble dire que l'ouverture au public est prévue pour toujours novembre selon les dernières rumeurs. On a pris nos billets pour découvrir Shanghai Disney en mai 2024, on croise les doigts pour que le land soit bel et bien ouvert d'ici là !

Aujourd'hui se tenait la "Creative Preview", une conférence en salle pour évoquer la future zone.

Et Shanghai Disneyland n'attend pas Destination D23 puisqu'il vient de lâcher le plus officiellement du monde des photos de la zone et compte en dévoiler un peu plus pendant les 3 jours qui viennent jusqu'à DD23 donc. J'ai vu certains retours chinois évoquer une ouverture pour la fin d'année (annoncé lors de cette conférence) mais j'ai trouvé aucune confirmation depuis le compte officiel.

Ma hype est désormais à 11 sur une échelle de 1 à 10  

Petite précision d'importance, si j'ai bien compris les retours : la zone jouera sur les différentes tailles des animaux, comme dans le film. La photo ci-dessous est donc difficile à évaluer en terme d'échelle. Possiblement, on devrait faire la taille de la porte à côté de l'ours qui lui paraîtra donc réellement grand.

Ils ont aussi partagé 2 extraits vidéos. Un sur l'animatronic de l'officier Clawhauser et un autre sur l'AA du Chef Bogo.




On avait déjà eu un aperçu du premier mais en découvrant le second en mouvement, je suis tombé par terre. Bluffant.

Jumbeaux’s Cafe will provide Zootopified food and beverage offerings

The epicurean journey begins at Jumbeaux’s Cafe, the famous elephant-run ice cream shop. The original Jumbeaux’s Cafe in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film is where Judy Hopps meets Nick Wilde for the first time and helps him and Finnick to obtain a Jumbo-pop, even though she later finds out it was for a paw-shaped popsicle scheme. In the themed land, Jumbeaux’s Cafe is now adapted to welcome animals of all sizes and has made accommodations like a lower take-out window for smaller customers, fashioned directly into the façade’s original elephant-sized door.

The highly anticipated paw-shaped popsicle from the film is a vivid example of how the dining experience is being Zootopified. By partnering with Mengniu, the Official Dairy and Ice Cream Provider of Shanghai Disney Resort, the resort created the Disney Zootopia Popsicle, a faithful replica of the frozen treat that the small rodents working at Lemming Brothers Bank love most. This creative treat is flavored with hawthorn berries, keeping the same vibrant palette as seen in the film, while bringing a comforting and unique taste known to Chinese guests.

Also inspired by the same scheme is the Chocolate Marshmallow, which mimics the size and look of the Jumbo-pop that Nick tricks Judy into buying, but re-imagined as a raspberry-flavored marshmallow to provide a variety of options for guests to choose from.

Designing experiences for animals of all sizes is one of the key tenets of Zootopia, and this is fully reflected in the new land. The resort will also offer a Mini Chocolate Bar with the same look but a much smaller size to allow guests a small bite. What’s more, Officer Clawhauser’s favorite snack – Donuts – will be provided in two different sizes, meeting the needs of all animals, as well as appetites, big or small.

Upon opening, Zootopia will also offer a wide variety of food experiences inspired by the film, such as the Disney Zootopia Blueberry Pie created by Gideon Grey, the fox; the Carrot Shaped Lollipop that will remind everyone of Bunnyburrow, and even more treats to come.





Besides tasty treats, an adventure in Zootopia would not be complete without adorable food and beverage souvenirs that incorporate exciting scenes from the film to fully immerse guests in the dining experience.

Fashions by Fru Fru is a merchandise store in Zootopia. Owned by Fru Fru, Zootopia's favorite fashionista and the daughter of Mr. Big, the store’s exterior features colors and flourishes that match Fru Fru’s outgoing personality. One of Mr. Big’s polar bear “henchbears,” Koslov, stands guard at the main entrance of the store and snarls at shoppers that get too close to him.

Inside Fashions by Fru Fru, there are two special areas themed after Yax and Duke Weaselton, two characters popular with audiences for their unique humor in the film. Guests will find product lines offering something for everyone at Fashions by Fru Fru. The resort’s merchandise team spent years developing over 200 products, many of which were designed especially for the new themed land. The collections incorporate fan-favorite characters, from Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde to Flash, Clawhauser and more, highlighting the vibrant and diverse world of Zootopia. All are designed with careful consideration of the character’s species, personality, appearance and stories, resulting in unique and memorable creations. Guests may also find a lineup of items themed to iconic scenes in the land inspired by the film, such as Fashions by Fru Fru Toy Bricks and Tundratown Building Toy Bricks, making them the ideal souvenirs for guests to take home as a memory of their visit, or gifts for friends and family.

Additionally, a special Disney Zootopia Cute collection will debut when the new land opens. Featuring a wide range of enchanting items, the collection will provide more shopping options for resort guests.

Zootopified alliances with new creations available exclusively for resort guests

After opening, guests will find a wide range of creative experiences tailored for this bustling land through corporate alliances.

As one of the resort’s key corporate alliance collaborators, Skechers will debut their all-new Zootopified brand logo - SHI-KECHERS - promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles to all animals in Zootopia. Featuring a lion’s tail and mane, the new logo echoes the Chinese character for “lion,” seamlessly integrated with this unique metropolis.

In addition to the creative logo presence in the new land, a series of SHI-KECHER’s immersive experiences will be presented as part of the city experience, including a billboard advertisement on benches and special commercials, tailored by Imagineers, to be played on Zootopia’s iconic, oversized digital billboard.

PepsiCo, the primary beverage sponsor to the resort, will bring three of their well-known soft drinks – Pepsi, 7up and Mirinda – with brand new animal-inspired names that echo the Chinese characters of deer, rhino and sheep to Zootopia. Upon the opening of the new land, the three Zootopified drinks with specially designed labels will be exclusively available at food and beverage locations within Shanghai Disneyland. Je trouve ce land vraiment fou, que ça soit au niveau décoration, de l'attraction ou au niveau de l'animation qu'il va y avoir dedans. Pour moi, Disney se rapproche enfin de l’immersion qu'Universal propose avec le land de Mario (et Harry Potter). J'ai hâte de voir les interactions des animatroniques dans le land (on a déjà eu une jolie preview avec ceux aux fenêtres) mais surtout de l'attraction qui se rapproche énormément de Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! Hype

Je le sent bien depuis le début, ça devrait être fou . Pendant ce temps on va se taper un Boat ride Frozen avec des scènes copié collé en plus grand du ride D'Epcot .
Si il y avait un ride a faire à Dlp ,c'était celui là rien que pour le ride système déjà .

Ça a l'air d'être tellement génial!
Zootopia correspond totalement à l'idée que je me fais de ce que dois être un land dans un parc Disney : avoir l'impression d'être entré dans le film, fourmillant de détails, avec des attractions derniers cris qui prolongent cette immersion. Et Zootopie est clairement l'une des licences Disney où il est intéressant d'avoir un land complet dédié à l'univers. Rien que s'y balader avec les différents rapports d'échelles va être amusant. Hot Pursuit Attraction vend du rêve! Le contraste entre le land fun et coloré et l'attraction enquête policière dramatique rend la zone vraiment variée, et super intéressante pour un large public.

When you walk into the ZPD for orientation, you’ll be greeted by Officer Clawhauser. Suddenly, an alarm sounds and you’ll be whisked away to an emergency briefing delivered by Chief Bogo where you’ll learn that Gazelle has been kidnapped — on the day of the anticipated concert!

Before you know it, you’ll be assigned to back up Officer Judy Hopps and her partner, Nick Wilde, now officially a police officer, in an action-filled police chase. Frozen ne me paraît pas un mauvais ajout pour DLP. Le boat ride va rien bouleverser mais ça reste Frozen, une licence forte qui apportera un peu de fantaisie au parc avec une zone bien travaillée d'après ce qu'on voit à Hong Kong.

Pour Zootopia, c'est surtout que Shanghai Disneyland (et la Chine) veut taper fort. De ce que j'ai lu comme réactions (chinoises), ça pourrait être de la folie parce que Zootopia en Chine, c'est du très lourd.

Maintenant, à voir comment l'attraction est à l'intérieur. Je suis confiant, Shanghai utilise des écrans mais rarement au détriment de vrais décors donc ça peut être grandiose.
