Diego Luna confirms the Rogue One prequel show has started filming.
Lucasfilm is taking advantage of the Disney+ platform to produce a full slate of Star Wars series, with The Mandalorian becoming the streaming service's flagship program. Among the other shows Lucasfilm is working on is a Rogue One prequel centered around Cassian Andor, the hardened Rebel soldier Luna played in the 2016 spinoff movie.
Back in February, shortly before the coronavirus pandemic took a turn for the worse, Luna said the Rogue One show would start production this year. Despite the ongoing health crisis throwing the entertainment industry into a state of flux and forcing numerous delays, the Rogue One show was able to stay on track and was gearing up to begin filming this fall. From the sound of things, the cameras are already rolling.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live, Luna revealed he's currently in London. When asked what he was shooting, Luna tried to play it coy by saying he was making "a short film with some friends." However, Kimmel let the cat out of the bag by stating the project was "for Disney+ with Lucasfilm involved." That is clearly in reference to the Rogue One show.

Andor
Andor, a tense nail-biting spy thriller created by Tony Gilroy, is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2022. Diego Luna, reprising the role of rebel spy Cassian Andor from Rogue One, will be joined by a fantastic new cast that includes Stellan Skarsgard, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma. Production kicked off three weeks ago in London.

Andor is the first in a new wave of serialized content made specially for Disney+. Other live-action projects in the works include the spin-offs Ahsoka, Lando, and Rangers of the New Republic, all announced last year during Disney’s 2020 Investor Day. Disney+ will be the new main home for Star Wars until the theatrical release of Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron in 2023.

Lancashire is currently a hub of excitement as filming gets underway for new Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor.
So it's no surprise that an actor or two can be spotted at the filming site in Cleveleys.
TV crews, film sets and props can be see dotted around as filming starts on the series, which will feature Rogue One's Diego Luna and Hollywood heavyweight Stellan Skarsgard, who has starred in the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean, the Avengers Cinematic Universe, and Mamma Mia.
And it seems residents have already spotted Diego Luna, as well as Stormtroopers as the cameras get rolling.
Photographs from the resort yesterday (May 5) show them in action on set, surrounded by palm trees on the beach.
