Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort avec parcours de golf (2014)

En effet, l'hotel de luxe Four Seasons, dont l'aménagement du terrain a débuté début 2008, ne sera techniquement pas à WDW car Disney a carrément vendu 298 acres (environ 120 hectares) de WDW à Four Seasons pour cette opération!!

Disney a largement assez de terrains en Floride pour se passer de 120 ha mais bon... WDW a quand même les moyens et les emplacements de choix (en bordure du Seven Seas Lagoon ou de Bay Lake par exemple) pour construire un nouvel hotel de luxe sans passer par une société extérieure!!



Walt Disney World sells land to Four Seasons, releases rendering

Walt Disney World Co. has sold 298 acres of land to Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts for the 445-room Four Seasons hotel and a golf course that will anchor Disney’s new luxury expansion in the Northeast corner of its property.

The company also released a rendering for the hotel, which was designed by WATG (Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo).

The resort expansion, announced last year, will include the Four Seasons hotel, fractional ownership vacation homes, custom single- and multi-family vacation homes, and an 18-hole golf course.

“This is an important milestone for a project that will enable our company and our community to further tap into the luxury travel market,” said Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort, in a written statement. “Working together for the first time, Walt Disney World Resort and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts will create a world-class family resort destination that offers the exceptional service and amenities and one-of-a-kind guest experiences that are the hallmark of both our brands.”

Site preparation began earlier this year, and construction is expected to being next year. The hotel is slated to open by 2012.

D'après OTPN, Disney's Osprey Ridge Golf Course va fermer le 11 août prochain. Il devrait rouvrir le 15 août sous management du nouveau propriétaire, le groupe Four Seasons.

Le Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort accepte maintenant les réservations pour une arrivée à partir du 3 août 2014, date de son ouverture confirmée aujourd'hui.

Tout comme le Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista qui propose un Disney Character Breakfast chaque dimanche dans son restaurant Covington Mill, le Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort proposera un Disney Character Breakfast deux fois par semaine (le jeudi et le samedi) dans son restaurant Ravello. Ainsi que le mardi durant les périodes de congés scolaires.

Par contre, il n'a pas été précisé si le nouveau resort offrira, comme le fait le Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista, les Extra Magic Hours à ses résidents.

Parmi les services exclusifs proposés par ce nouvel établissement de luxe situé à Golden Oak (la zone résidentielle développée par Walt Disney Imagineering), on note le Disney Planning Center où des Disney Cast Members seront à la disposition des résidents pour organiser leur séjour et les In-Room Celebrations pour une arrivée pleine de surprises pour les plus jeunes :


Disney Planning Center

The Disney Planning Center, conveniently located near the front desk on the lobby level, provides the perfect spot for guests to meet one-on-one with a Disney Cast Member and plan some wonderful details of their stay.  Guests can receive assistance with their ticket arrangements for the Disney theme parks and dining reservations at Disney restaurants. The Disney Planning Center is a one-stop central hub that seamlessly organizes a guest’s entire Disney experience - even supporting the planning process before guests walk in the door.

In-Room Celebrations

It’s always the little details that give a guest that over-the-top impression and special welcome, and one way Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort will be able to “wow” guests is through In-Room Celebrations. The Resort will offer themed in-room welcome gifts, so that upon a guest’s arrival, a surprise can be waiting in their guestroom. The “Presenting Your Royal Princess” In-Room Celebration, for instance, includes a banner hanging outside the door of the room, a personalized royal princess proclamation, a letter from the Fairy Godmother, and a large pink box filled with princess treasures, including a tiara and magic wand. From princesses to pirates, there are several options of In-Room Celebrations available for Four Seasons guests.

L'hotel et le golf sont considérés comme faisant partie de Walt Disney World car construits au sein du projet Golden Oak. Les terrains sont certes désannexés du RCID pour des raisons fiscales mais le projet est 100% piloté par Disney. J'ai donc retirer le "ou presque" du topic.

Bonnet Creek Resort par contre est construit au sein de Walt Disney World mais n'en fait pas partie car les terrains n'ont jamais fait partie du RCID et Disney n'a rien eu à voir avec le développement.
