The City of Paju announced that it had entered into an investment agreement with UAE-based Al Ahli Holding Group for its Paju Project.
Representatives of corporations that have shown an interest in the Paju project and local residents attended the investment agreement ceremony, and Paju Mayor Lee In-jae, Chairman of Gateway Investment Inc. Yoon Young-ji, and President of Venture Division in Al Ahli Holding Group Ali Mohammed Alsamahi, who was attending the ceremony on behalf of Mohammed Khammas, signed the investment agreement.
Mayor Lee, addressing the audience during his welcome speech, stated that "Despite the domestic and global economic slowdown, Paju has successfully secured foreign investments based on its enormous development potential. In addition, we will accomplish the Ferrari World Theme Park project and the smart city complex development project to promote balanced development in the northern area of Paju, where the regional economy has fallen behind."
The Paju project is a complex city development plan that consists of the Ferrari World Theme Park, a smart city and municipal infrastructure development project spanning 3.72 million ㎡ near Paju-eup, in the city of Paju, and requiring a total investment of 1,600 billion KRW. The City of Paju is planning to establish a special purpose entity during the first half of this year and start construction in 2014 with the aim of opening the Ferrari World Theme Park in 2016. It is anticipated that, if successful, the project will result in the development of a small-sized new city with a capacity of 20,000 residents, providing a recreation function.
Depuis, le plan de financement a été bouclé et approuvé.
Ferrari World Paju will be similar to the first Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, including not only 40 types of rides but also Ferrari-racing experiences.
