| Sujet: hello! from Couture de Force Designer Sam 15 Juin 2013 - 14:05 | |
| Wow! Thank you so much, I really enjoyed reading everyone's comments. I appreciate your very kind words and valuable input. To introduce myself, I'm the designer of this Couture de Force collection. I'm a former Disney Feature Animation artist and freelance for Disney Consumer Products, mostly specializing in the princesses. To answer some of your questions: Couture de Force collection was picked up by most main Hallmark stores, Disney theme parks, along with many gift shops, online, etc., should be in stores by July 15. I believe it will not be LE. Just an fyi, Enesco sales said that they were heavily ordered and having a tough time fulfilling them, so may be harder to find. Popular princesses are the toughest item for the theme parks to keep in stock. At our initial Enesco meeting last year (as it takes a year for sculpt prototype, manufacturing), they wanted to do 6 characters as a try out to see what I would come up with. We decided on 7, as we felt we should do the most popular princess & villain characters first. If they sell well, I'm fairly sure they will add in the rest of the princesses and villains. I feel Enesco did an exceptional job with the sculpts, I'm very pleased with them. Aurora has always been my favorite character and I loved being able to do my version of both the pink and blue dress. Great classic fashion designers were my inspiration, Valentino, Versace, etc. Enesco's original concept was to include the ink splats on all of the characters, but it was dropped afterwards, too much detail for already complex designs. If you would like to go to my Facebook page and see the original artwork I did, it's under DisneyPrincessVillainCoutureDeForce. Thank you so much, I look forward to reading more of your comments and answering any questions I can. I'm particularly interested to see who is everyone's favorite. My apologies, I'm new to your wonderful site and I hope this posts okay. Best wishes, Cyndy |

| hey ! and welcome onboard I think you did a wonderful job capturing the essence and "preciousness" of both Princesses and Villians they're all stunning ♥ Snow White, Evil Queen and Belle took my heart, but I'm waiting for Ariel (... in her pink dress ???) and more than Ursula, having Vanessa as her antagonist would be a dream I'm sure the collection will be successful, it's really fine art and an added value to any collection |

| hi Illyria,
This is such a wonderful site and I love their fantastic FB page. Thank you for your kind comments, I'm so happy that you like them. I worked on several 2-D films at Disney Feature, Pocahontas through Tarzan years, and trained to keep the characters on model and true to the films. That was very important to me.
I also watched all of the these films over again as reference, to capture each characters poses and gestures that best represent them.
Yes, I'm hoping they will continue with the collection as there are many characters I would love to do. Ariel in her gown would be lovely.
I did actually draw Vanessa over 10 years ago for a teapot, Cardew Designs. It was shaped like Ursula with Vanessa on the opposite side. Vanessa would be a great villain for this collection.
thanks so much! =0) |

| Thank you Jojo!
It would be wonderful to do Ariel in both the pink and blue dresses. I think it would be great to do many versions of each character, the same as Jim Shore.
I love holiday merch and would also love to see Belle in her snow outfit, red with fur trim. I don't think they do enough with Blue Fairy from Pinocchio or with Alice.
Haha, I guess we ALL have to write in to Enesco and put in our requests, including me! LOL
have a great day...or night over there! =0) |

| I'm really glad to meet the one who created this such amazing artworks. I'm waiting desperatly for their arriving in France. I look especially for Aurora to complete my collection because i's my favourite of them all and it is one of the most beautiful design of your collection. She is so detailed and refined. The shades of colors represent her perfectly. As with all the other also. Congratulations for your work and welcome to the forum. And I'm so happy to meet a other protector of Aurora. Again you did such a great job. This is a unique Disney collection. |

| Ariel tu veux dire?

| hi princess aurora,
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, it's a real pleasure for me to also meet fellow enthusiasts and fans of these characters. I love Eyvind Earle's backgrounds and the character design of Aurora, so classic.
I also love that you posted the pencil scene where she meets the Prince, one of my favorites, too... especially when she sings! =0) |

| hi Bella Cullen,
haha, I see you like Belle the best. =0)
I just saw these new ones, which aren't my designs, it's another artist. I know Enesco was under tight deadlines to get these done since it takes a year in manufacturing.
It took quite awhile for me to do the research and get them as best as I could, knowing that they would be the start of a new collection and I was setting the style. If I had rushed through them, the results never would have been the same. Good artwork does take time to create. Also, as a collection, I had to think of all the characters together, not as individuals.
I see that these new ones are larger, which will look odd proportionally, standing next to each other in a collection. Rapunzel and Ariel are taller than the rest. They should be smaller, more petite, like Snow and Belle.
It also looks like Rapunzel is more from Jim Shore's collection, not the new fashion couture style I created so we offer something different and unique.

I prefer first design, too. Rapunzel could be better... The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return ... |
