Disney Cruise Line a écrit:
Discover the Disney Destiny: Three Days of Heroic and Villainous Reveals
Heroes and villains – assemble!
Disney Cruise Line is embarking on three days of epic announcements revealing the Disney Destiny, our new heroes and villains-inspired ship that will set sail in December 2025 – and we invite you to follow along! From July 30 through Aug. 1, 2024, stay tuned to find out everything you need to know about this marvelous addition to the fleet.
First up: A host of hero-worthy new spaces and experiences inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar films!
We are thrilled to announce that the Disney Destiny will debut a first-of-its-kind dining experience celebrating the unforgettable music of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Lion King;” an exclusive confectionary themed to Pixar Animation Studio’s “The Incredibles;” and legendary accommodations perfect for relaxing after a day of heroic feats.
The ‘Mane’ Event — A Feast for the Senses If you’re anything like me, the only thing better than dinner or a show is … well, you guessed it – dinner AND a show! Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King will not only be just that, but it will also join the ranks as a first-of-its-kind Disney dining experience, bringing the iconic songs and legendary moments of the renowned animated classic to life for your family throughout dinner.
So, what can you expect in this all-new family restaurant?
While you dine, live musicians and storytellers will present a musical journey through “The Lion King” soundtrack, using authentic African instruments and theatrical props to represent the story and characters. From productions of “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata,” to a one-of-a-kind mash-up of “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Be Prepared, the show will be a musical retelling of Simba’s heroic journey to triumph over his villainous uncle and claim his rightful place as king of Pride Rock – and undoubtedly one of your most memorable meals on the high seas!
Zazu said it best when he told Simba: “you can’t escape your destiny”… and we can’t wait for you to discover yours at Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King! For more information about the restaurant’s design and inspiration, check out this post!
It’s a Sweet Shop, Darling (That’s a New Feature) Edna Mode’s lab, where the famed fashion designer from Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films whips up outfits for the world’s most famous Supers, will be transformed into a unique confectionary at the brand-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets aboard the Disney Destiny.
Inspired by the “Auntie Edna” short film, Edna’s sewing equipment will be repurposed as sweet-making devices – and the result is, shall we say… marvelous?!
This dessert spot is sure to be a hit with your family, with handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and specialty treats served in a space full of bolts of fabric and costume models. And while she never looks back, you might have to do a double-take of the picture-perfect sculptures of both Edna and Jack-Jack — one hard at work, one hungry for “num nums!”
Fuel for Heroic Feats Just off the Grand Hall — the central hub and gathering space on the Disney Destiny — two casual walk-up cafes will serve a mighty selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks. You can fuel up for your heroic ventures onboard at Café Megara, a space that will pay homage to Disney Animation’s “Hercules” with a unique and vibrant “Greco disco” design, or at Café Merida, an area that will be inspired by the flame-haired heroine of Pixar’s “Brave” with its Celtic-centered design.
Like all Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Destiny, Disney Cruise Line's new heroes and villains-inspired ship, will feature imaginative restaurants where you can interact with Disney Stories in exciting ways, including the debut of a new family dining experience exclusive to this ship.
The iconic songs and legendary moments of “The Lion King” will come to life at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, a first-of-its-kind dining experience celebrating the renowned music from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film that continues to transcend generations

Wickedly Good Fun in Store at De Vil’s Piano Lounge on the Disney Destiny
The creative teams at Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering are plotting an assortment of spaces and experiences inspired by some of Disney’s most legendary schemers, scoundrels and specters for the Disney Destiny, our new heroes and villains-theme ship that will set sail in 2025 … with special spaces just for adults, including a brand-new piano lounge celebrating the one and only Cruella de Vil!
The fabulously over-the-top villain from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “One Hundred and One Dalmatians” — and the acclaimed 2021 live action film — inspires De Vil’s, an all-new, adult-exclusive piano lounge coming to the Disney Destiny.
Cruella’s infamous flair for style and wickedly bold attitude will be reflected in the bar’s Hollywood Regency-inspired aesthetic, where everything will be adorned in her signature color palette of red, black and white. There will even be a glowing, fiber optic Cruella that appears and disappears in the wall behind an eye-catching spotted piano! And with one side of the lounge open to the Grand Hall, you will be able to sit back with a drink and a prime view of the ship’s premier gathering space.
With a custom menu brimming with trendy martinis, chic cocktails, and glamorous wines and bubblies! It’ll be anything but “miserable darling” to wind down in style at De Vil’s.

Five Can’t-Miss, Marvel-Inspired Spaces Coming to the Disney Destiny
Calling all Marvel fans: The Disney Destiny, Disney Cruise Line’s new ship that will set sail in November 2025, will feature new ways to interact with the Marvel Universe that you won’t find anywhere else on land or at sea …. or even across the multiverse!
Our new heroes and villains-themed cruise ship will debut brand-new spaces and experiences celebrating Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Iron Man and the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Here’s a first look at five of the can’t-miss Marvel-inspired spaces coming to the Disney Destiny!
1. New Character Takes Center Stage in The Grand Hall
The striking Grand Hall will be inspired by the rich lore, distinctive iconography and vibrant palette of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films. This space will be the first thing you see as you step aboard the Disney Destiny, welcoming you to a world of epic dualities: heroes and villains, and adventure and relaxation.
The Walt Disney Imagineering design team consulted with the costume team from the “Black Panther” movies, and those insights helped fashion the creative vision for this space, including metalwork on the pilars inspired by the banded armor and stacked jewelry found in Wakanda. A breathtaking light fixture inspired by Vibranium — the rare metallic ore found in the fictional nation — will generate show-stopping effects that fill the room with life and color.
Presiding over the Grand Hall will be a stunning statue of T’Challa, the Black Panther: King of Wakanda, devoted son and beloved brother sworn to protect his kingdom — and the Disney Destiny.
2. The Sanctum
The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Marvel Studios’ “Doctor Strange.” Like all Sanctums, this centrally located venue will contain mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world – but it will also be home to entertainment; a magical array or cocktails, spirits and coffees; and unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.
3. Spider-Man Stern Character
For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will be the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny. This signature larger-than-life sculpture will showcase Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots, who are making a well-meant, if a bit haphazard, attempt at decorating the filigree on the back of the ship with their infamous spider webs.
4. Destiny Tower Suite (Tony Stark would approve!)
The Destiny Tower Suite will be a Marvel-inspired penthouse honoring Iron Man’s mighty legacy with a luxurious take on the sleek, industrial designs of Tony Stark. Armor-like materials and mechanical elements will be balanced by soft, inviting finishes to create an opulent experience exclusive to the Disney Destiny.
Set high in the ship’s forward funnel, this one-of-a-kind suite will offer incredible views of the top deck and beyond through an expansive two-story window. With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, the Destiny Tower Suite will comfortably sleep eight guests and feature designated areas for eating, sleeping and playing, as well as other perks like a full kitchen and private ensuite elevator.
5. Saga
Just off the Grand Hall on decks four and five, you will be able to write your own vacation legend at Saga, a central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The two-story, state-of-the-art venue will host a variety of interactive shows and events in an elevated environment that also takes cues from the architecture of Wakanda.
And because we couldn’t share just five …
Bonus! Worlds of Marvel and Marvel Super Hero Academy
The Disney Destiny will also feature two guest-favorite experiences from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, inspired by the stories and characters of the Marvel Universe.
Worlds of Marvel, Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, will host you for an out-of-this-world celebration starring the lively duo of Rocket and Groot from the blockbuster Marvel Studios “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. During a tribute to the many Super Heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who keep the world safe, Groot will take over the proceedings and bring the festivities to the next level like only he can, organizing the ultimate surprise party for his friend Rocket — just in time for your dessert!
In Disney’s Oceaneer Club, kids ages 3 to 10 will become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures at Marvel Super Hero Academy, a high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” are trained to be the next generation of Super Heroes alongside some of their favorite Avengers.
So tell me, True Believers, which of these incredible new spaces are you most excited about as you begin planning your own legendary vacation aboard the Disney Destiny? Bookings for Castaway Club Members open Sept. 6, 2024, and the inaugural season goes on sale to the general public Sept. 12, 2024!

The Disney Destiny is a legend in the making – and you can be part of its inaugural season! Bookings open for Castaway Club members as early as Sept. 6, 2024 and for the general public Sept. 12, 2024.
And there’s still more that Josh discussed during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Josh revealed that the signature production aboard the Disney Destiny — which starts sailing next year — will be “Disney Hercules,” featuring the music and characters you know and love from the classic Walt Disney Animation Studios film.
