Romandisea Seven Star International Cultural Tourism Resort [Chine - 2016]

En ce début d'année, Su Shaojun, CEO de Seven Star Energy Investment Group Ltd., a annoncé, lors d'une conférence de presse qui s'est tenue à Hong Kong, la construction dans la province chinoise du Sichuan d'un nouveau resort sur un thème à la fois maritime et européen : Romandisea Seven Star International Cultural Tourism Resort.

La construction du resort devrait débuter prochainement et ouvrir en 2016.

Le resort, dont le coût est estimé à environ 1 milliard de yuan, comprendra plusieurs hôtels, une plage, des répliques d'une église vénitienne, de bains turques et de plusieurs châteaux européens.  

L'élément du resort qui a attiré le plus l'attention, mais pose également question, est la réplique du navire Titanic incluant un simulateur 6D permettant de revivre la collision avec l'iceberg et le naufrage dans la nuit du 14 au 15 avril 1912 :

Vivement quelques dizaines d'années pour le parc qui comprendra une reconstitution du World Trade Center avec un simulateur qui recrée les attentats avec un Flying Coaster imitant les trajectoires des avions !

Exact, le navire a quitté Southampton le 10 avril 1912 à 12h00, a touché l'iceberg le 14 avril à 23h40 et a coulé le 15 avril à 2h20. C'est corrigé

L'ouverture a été repoussée à octobre 2017 mais les cinq mille premiers tickets pour (re)vivre l'expérience du Titanic seront mis en vente dès le 15 juin prochain.

Une réplique du navire jusque dans les moindres détails permettra aux visiteurs de revivre la collision avec l'iceberg et le naufrage. Le forfait comprend le repas à l'identique du 14 avril 1912 ! Il faudra y mettre le prix car les tarifs démarrent à 3.000 yuan (+/- 435 euros) pour la cabine la moins chère et 100.000 yuan (+/- 14.500 euros) pour la plus chère...

Tourists in China will soon have the chance to see what life was like on board the Titanic, as an energy company begins work on building an exact replica of the ill-fated liner.

Every detail from the handles to the light switches will be painstakingly reproduced for the new tourist attraction in Sichuan province, central China, reported the People's Daily Online.

Visitors will even get the chance to experience the moment the ship collided with the iceberg through a high-tech simulation involving light and sound effects.

Qixing Energy Investment Group first revealed their plan of spending 1 billion Yuan (£105 million) to rebuild the luxury liner in January 2014.

The company, which is based in Lishui city in east China, recently announced that a limited number of 5,000 tickets to the new Titanic will go on sale from June 15 on their official website.

The replica will be permanently docked on the Daying Qi river and is due to open to the public in October 2017.

Back in 1912, the original ship cost £4.9 million to build, the equivalent to about £110 million today.

Guests will have to pay 3,000 Yuan (£315) a night for a cabin on board the ship, while more expensive rooms will cost around 100,000 Yuan.

There will be ballroom dancing, pool parties, and Las Vegas style entertainment on the ship to transport guests back to 1912.

Even the food on the menu will be exactly the same as on board the original voyage.

Su Shaojun, chairman of the Qixing Energy Investment Group, said: 'The Titanic is a great ship and we will revive it.

'This new construction is not only to commemorate it but to let people know more about it. For people to know that when it sank the spirit of love was exhibited as well as creating its legend.'

Huang Li, general manager of the group, added: 'This will be a trip of a lifetime and will give our guests memories they will never forget.

'The new Titanic will offer a dream-like experience.'

20,000 drawings have been made of the replica Titanic to make sure every single detail is perfect.

The company has even worked with producers of the James Cameron's Oscar-winning film to get hold of the original blueprint.

Bernard Hill, the actor who played Captain Edward Smith in the 1996 movie, actually went to the the launch of the project dressed in costume.

The ship will measure 882 feet in length and 92 feet in width - the exact dimensions of the original.

An estimated 50,000 tonnes of steel will be used in the construction of the replica - more than that used to build an aircraft carrier.

The replica Titanic will be able to take up to 1,500 visitors a day and money raised will go towards a new Titanic fund, a charity set up to help maritime disasters across the world.

The first tickets to set sail on a life-sized replica of the Titanic, which will appear to collide with an iceberg and start sinking, are to go on sale later this month.

The Chinese company building the ship - part of a theme park in Sichuan Province - announced this week that the vessel will be completed in October 2017, and ready for its mooring on the Qi River. The first 5,000 tickets will go on sale in Hong Kong on June 15.

Critics pointed out that the timing of the announcement was perhaps ill-advised, coming as China reels from its worst boating disaster in 70 years - with 400 feared dead on the Yangtze River.

But the project managers were undeterred.

"Titanic is a great ship. We will revive it and build it exactly the same size as the original, not just for remembrance but also to let people know the glory of human nature," said Su Jun, the president of Qixing energy investment group, the major investor of the ship.

The billion-yuan (£100 million) project was announced in October 2013, and construction began shortly after in the docks in Daying County, in Sichuan Province. The landlocked region boasts of having "China's Dead Sea" - a giant landlocked saltwater lake.

The Titanic replica will hold 1,500 passengers and feature exact copies of all furnishings - from door handles to carpets, light fittings and bed rooms. Guest will pay £315 a night for the cheapest rooms, according to Mail Online. They will eat the same food those who travelled on the ill-fated 1912 voyage, and then will experience what the developers hope will be an exhilirating reconstruction of the sinking.

Upon "impact," the ship will shake and tumble, said Su Shaojun, CEO of Seven Star Energy - one of the main investors.

He said that sound and light effects will "let people experience water coming in. They will think: 'The water will drown me. I must escape with my life."

D'une part, le timing pour cette annonce est désastreux, suivant de peu la pire catastrophe maritime en Chine depuis fort longtemps: le naufrage de 'L'Etoile de l'Orient' sur le Yangsté.

D'autre part, je trouve l'expérience proposée d'un goût douteux.

Sans compter les prix exorbitants...

Autant je me suis rendue à l'exposition hommage sur le Titanic à Paris, autant que là je trouve que c'est un peu déplacé d'en faire une attraction -_-'

D'accord le film a eu un immense succès en Chine (et il l'a été partout dans le Monde), mais avant d'être un film à succès, c'est avant tout un drame qui a ôté des centaines de vies.
Je trouve que d'en faire une attraction pour touristes dans l'espoir de récolter des millions par an, c'est un manque de respect pour les disparus du naufrage -_-

Tout comme toi @Pixie Tinkerbell je trouve cela indécent par rapport au nombre de victimes. En même temps, il y avait aussi un projet de bateau de croisière Titanic 2.  Je ne sais pas où en est le projet.
