Opening day is still like at least a year away, but the newest Legoland is already trying to build a little bit of buzz in Florida.
Last week, park officials busted out the artist renderings and other pretty pictures for some of the new attractions. One of the main attractions that caught our eye might just make Cinderella jealous, as the park will have its very own castle within the Castle Hill section of the park. No princesses inside the castle though, as there’s going to be a dragon-themed coaster working its way in and out of the toy fortress.
They’ve seemed to have solidified plans for all the different areas of the park, and there’s already an official park map available. The Beginning, Fun Town, DUPLO village—that one for the little guys—and Pirate’s Cove are just some of the new areas that tourists will be flocking to beginning next fall. Despite all the options, we’re most interested in visiting Miniland USA, because that’s where you can see a Lego-a-fied version of New York City—complete with Bronx zoo—as well as Las Vegas, and Washington, DC.
If you’re already looking for a unique stocking stuffer, you can order tickets to the park, even though they’ll be useless until the park opens in October of 2011. Tickets are $65, but there are annual pass options if little plastic bits and pieces are your thing—those start at $99. However, you have to act quickly, as once 2011 rolls around ticket prices are going up by $10. It certainly won’t be cheap to visit the newest Legoland, but we’re thinking most, including us, won’t be able to resist.
