Castle of Magical Dreams [Hong Kong Disneyland - 2020]

Vraiment pas fan, on dirait une indigeste pièce montée...

Un empilement de plusieurs pièces qui ne fonctionne vraiment pas... A voir sur d'autres concepts, à la base j'appréciais pas tant que ça le château de Shangai et finalement j'aime bien donc on verre bien !

Bah le premier concept était sublime mais là... de face... C'est vraiment moche.. on dirait une tentative de faire un mélange de culture et donc de style architectural mais qui passe pas du tout.

À voir car pour avoir reproduit sur Minecraft le château du premier concept art il est sublime même de face.
Mais là les côté ne vont pas du tout, il auraient du créer un effets de montagne comme pour le notre mais sur les remparts des deux côté..
la couleur de la partie existente était encore rose ce qui passe très bien, ils l'ont changé et beurk..
Et ils changent les toitures ce n'est pas beau du tout.

Je vous trouve quand même très sévère ! Le château n’a pas l’air si laid, les couleurs ne sont certes pas très attirantes mais l’aspect est quand même assez dépaysant, ce que j’en trouve à la rigueur dommage c’est que l’on ne reconnaît pas du tout le château de la belle et bête mais le château reste quand même beaucoup plus beau de ce qu’il était. Et à titre de comparaison je le préfère à celui de Shanghai qui je trouve n’est pas si imposant comme certain le disent mais trop « architectural « ...

A voir car les concepts arts sont parfois loin de la finalisation réelle. Ca parait un peu bordélique comme ca mais à voir. C'est pas horrible non plus.

La cérémonie spéciale Hong Kong Disneyland Magical Castle Transformation Celebration s'est achevée par la représentation de Disney in the Stars, on note la présence de Bill Ernest (President & Managing Director, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Asia) aux côtés de Samuel Lau (Managing Director, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort), Mickey et Minnie Mouse.


Quelques détails supplémentaires ont été communiqués par Samuel Lau (Managing Director, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort), Kelly Willis (Executive creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering Asia) et Amanda Chiu (Producer, Walt Disney Imagineering Asia).

Transformed castle pays tribute to Disney princesses and reflects the cosmopolitan character of Hong Kong

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) today revealed creative details about the upcoming castle transformation—an important part of the park’s ongoing multi-year expansion plan. The transformed castle will feature a seamless blend of styles inspired by different times and cultures, while paying tribute to Disney Princess stories. The transformed castle will also take the park’s entertainment to new heights with both a new daytime show and nighttime spectacular.

“This is a completely reimagined take on a Disney castle and a first-of-its-kind transformation at a Disney Park,” said Samuel Lau, executive vice president and managing director of the resort. “Our castle will be transformed to emphasize the power of pursuing your dreams. We’re confident the majestic design, which will serve as an amazing backdrop for new entertainment, will resonate with our local and international guests. The castle transformation also signifies the continuous growth of the park, especially with the multi-year expansion happening over the next six years.”

Kelly Willis, executive creative director of Walt Disney Imagineering Asia, said, “The design of the transformed castle will feature a variety of storybook influences in its thematic spires, domes and other architectural elements. The castle will be based in the present yet looking toward the future, with different colors, textures, designs and patterns both high and low. Our team of designers is hard at work so that the transformed castle will be a constant source of inspiration for our guests.”

While still being true to the classic Disney castle look, the transformed castle will have a fresh, uplifting design that reaches ever skyward. As HKDL’s iconic centerpiece, it will stand as an architectural achievement that is grander, more magnificent and entirely unique. Overall, it will be a shining symbol of hopes and aspirations.

With features inspired by different design styles and Disney Princess stories

The design of the transformed castle will take inspiration from different times and cultures, as well as a variety of storybook influences and styles.

The castle’s features will also be inspired by 13 much-loved Disney Princess stories based on Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Moana and Anna and Elsa. Coming from the far reaches of Asia, Europe, the Middle East and beyond, the Disney Princesses are a diverse group unified by their big dreams and courageous hearts.

From the new castle moat and hub area, guests will be able to spot princess finial decorations on some spires, such as Snow White’s apple, Cinderella’s coach and Belle’s rose, as well as princess-inspired designs and decorations throughout the castle.

Celebrating the hopes and dreams of Hong Kong people

After its transformation, the castle will be much more than a regal sight for guests to enjoy and take photos of; it will also symbolize the aspirations and hopes of Hong Kong people and the city’s spirit of evergreen renewal, where there’s always something new to try.

“The skyward spires will echo how the Hong Kong spirit of courageously reaching for your dreams,” added Willis. “Just like our varied Disney Princesses, Hong Kong is a mosaic of different cultures and dreams.”

Reimagined with even more fantasy

To add even more magic and fantasy, the transformed castle area will include original artwork, unique sculptures and designs waiting for guests to find and enjoy. As part of the castle transformation, guests can visit the all-new Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which is a magical salon where fairy-godmothers-in-training turn young guests into princesses with makeovers, hairstyling and special outfits. At the transformed castle, guests can also meet different Disney Princesses at different times.

There will also be a new outdoor stage where HKDL’s daytime show and nighttime spectacular will be held. Both of these new shows will feature awe-inspiring entertainment experiences, and be special moments for friends and loved ones to enjoy together.

It’s truly a new era here at HKDL! The multi-year expansion will bring new entertainment to the park almost every year from 2018 to 2023. Transformation work on the castle will begin after the finale of the “Disney in the Stars” Fireworks on January 1, 2018.

Before then, guests can enjoy an authentic Disney Christmas celebration as the park turns into a winter wonderland. At “A Disney Christmas,” guests are invited to join Mickey and friends in their festive new outfits at the Christmastime Ball held in front of the castle. L'ancien concept art du chateau était plus beau ,ils ont fait des modifs depuis .

Je trouve le concept art pas très beau. C'est un patchwork de plusieurs styles différents qui ne se marient pas très bien ensemble.

J'ai l'impression qu'ils veulent faire exactement l'inverse de leur château actuel et "en mettre plein la vue" pour concurrencer Shanghaï. Du coup, ils ont construit un château très haut mais la grande tour à gauche était dispensable selon moi.
Ce qui me dérange le plus en fait n'est pas tant l'architecture, mais surtout les couleurs utilisées.

En outre, j'ai également l'impression qu'ils n'ont pas laissé assez de murs plats pour pouvoir projeter des images dessus. Tout le monde sait que le mapping sera le futur des shows Disney et là, ils risquent d'avoir les mêmes problèmes qu'avec notre château à DLP.

Pour le moment, je ne suis pas inquiet pour le château de DLP qui est toujours le plus beau tous parcs confondus. Mais bon, j'attends de voir le château construit, peut-être que je changerai d'avis à ce moment là.

Personnellement je le trouve pas mal...

Avec analyse et un peu de recul en même temps, le château est pas si mal, reste à voir, les précédents concept font plus baver ^^

L'accès à Fantasyland par le château est fermé, on peut voir que les travaux prennent déjà pas mal de place à l'arrière du château (en attendant 2018 pour commencer à attaquer le devant).

Les travaux promettent d'être impresionnant.
Un mal pour un bien, car Hong Kong Disneyland aura enfin son château sublime et unique et à la hauteur de l'expérience que le parc propose

Ça serait sympa d’y mettre le concept art du nouveau château sur les palissades pour le montrer aux Guests qui y viennent maintenant ,ils seraient moins déçus et verraient qu’on leur construit un très beau château exceptionnel et ça leur donnerait l’occasion de revenir voir le nouveau château .

Peut être quand l'avant du chateau (et le Hub) auront disparut (sous les bâches pour le château)

Oui et mieux puisqu’il est certains que la bâche sera imprimé avec la photo du château comme ils le  font à chaque fois sur ce genre d’icône pourquoi ne pas imprimé dessus le nouveau château .

Vidéo (très) courte en ce 31 décembre, les palissades sont en place à l'arrière, des bâches commence à assombrir les alentours de la cour du château.

À priori l'extension sera bel et bien aussi en profondeur (certains pensait que ce ne serait que en hauteur).

EDIT : Si je met pas la vidéo ça va être compliqué pour vous de la regarder ^^

Par contre le nouveau chateau restera sur lr thème de la belle au bois dormant? Je trouve que l'architecture ne s'y prête pas du tout.

Non, le nouveau Château s'inspire de treize Princesses Disney : Blanche Neige, Cendrillon, Aurore, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Raiponce, Mérida, Moana et Anna & Elsa.

Oui et des princesses misent en avant sur les palissades autour de la (très grosse) zone de travaux avec des pancartes mettant des personnages de chaque film avec les princesses qu'a cité Vinc.

D'accord merci beaucoup, en tout cas il va être magnifique, mais le notre restera le plus beau.

Pas certains ,je trouve déjà celui de Shangaï plus beau et imposant que le nôtre . Après les goûts et les couleurs ça ne se discute pas . Mais celui de Hong Kong je le sent très bien .

J'aime le notre pour son harmonie dans les couleurs, son élégances, et sa forme en flèche.. Il est à la fois majestueux et totalement fantaisiste !
Le nouveau de HK m'intrigue donc beaucoup !

Ils ont clairement oublié les smarphones et les tablettes levées en l'air sur le concept art non ?

Petite question, pensez-vous qu'une fois le nouveau château inauguré ils changeront le début du film de l'attraction iron man? Car dans cette intro on survole le parc en passant au-dessus du château

Je pense que oui. Le plus bizarre sera pendant la construction du nouveau, alors qu'on survolera toujours l'ancien dans l'attraction !
