With SoReal’s award-winning history of creating mesmerizing technological shows and experiences, the creative stories set to be presented in the Lakeshore building in Disneytown will be especially tailored for guests visiting this area, allowing them to become immersed in exclusive entertainment and inviting them to embark on new virtual reality and augmented reality simulations.

As SoReal moves into its new home in Disneytown’s Lakeshore building and transforms it into a new virtual reality and augmented reality space, it will further enhance the entertainment experience of the district and will provide guests new opportunities to enjoy themselves like never before.

Today, leaders from Shanghai Disney Resort and SoReal came together for a celebration event, where Joe Schott presented the Disneytown Lakeshore Golden Key to Michael Qi. With the official handover of the building to SoReal, construction will soon begin and the SoReal experience is expected to open to guests in 2021.

Après les spectacles musicaux The Lion King (juin 2016- octobre 2017) et Beauty and the Beast (juin 2018-février 2020), le Walt Disney Grand Theatre de Disneytown présentera Mickey’s Storybook Adventure à partir de juin prochain !

La Première du nouveau spectacle de vingt-huit minutes est programmée le 15 juin et sera accessible aux visiteurs du parc dès le lendemain, date symbolique marquant le cinquième anniversaire de Shanghai Disneyland.

Vingt-trois personnages Disney bien-aimés issus de treize histoires classiques et modernes prendront vie sur une scène qui comprend une bibliothèque magique fantastique où est conservé un livre de contes géant remplies d'aventures Disney !

Mickey’s Storybook Adventure est une adaptation du spectacle Mickey and the Wondrous Book présenté à Hong Kong Disneyland depuis le 17 novembre 2015, quelques scènes ayant été modifiées pour la version shanghaïenne dont celle faisant référence au film d'animation Zootopie qui prendra vie dans le parc avec un nouveau land qui lui sera entièrement dédié.

Le Walt Disney Grand Theatre sera accessible aux visiteurs de Shanghai Disneyland par l'entrée qui communique avec le parc.

Shanghai Disney Resort today announced that a brand new in-park live theater show, Mickey’s Storybook Adventure, will debut at the Walt Disney Grand Theatre on June 15. Set to open to Shanghai Disneyland park guests on June 16, the 5th Anniversary of the resort’s Grand Opening, this dazzling show is the latest in a long line of new experiences that have been added to the resort over the last five years. Featuring one of the largest number of on-stage performers of any indoor entertainment show at Shanghai Disneyland and utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, as well as classic Disney storytelling, the new theatrical show will fully immerse guests in the emotion and fun of Disney stories and characters with a unique combination of music, live performances, animation and beautiful transformative scenery.

A Spectacular Showcase of Disney Entertainment Brought to Life on the Big Stage

An ambitious theatrical show unlike any other ever seen at Shanghai Disney Resort, Mickey’s Storybook Adventure features a cast of 23 live vocalists, characters, dancers and musicians. Delivering enchanted fun and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, the show features ten Disney songs, fabulous set designs, vivid projected backgrounds, elaborate costumes and lighting, and exciting dance arrangements, as part of a breathtaking 28-minute performance designed to transport guests into an immersive world of magic and adventure.

An Elaborate Intertwining of Classic and New Disney Stories

For the first time ever at Shanghai Disney Resort, 23 beloved Disney Characters from 13 classic and modern Disney stories will be brought to life on a stage that features a fantastical magical library where a giant storybook of Disney adventures is kept. The in-park show, which ties together a number of different musical production moments, focuses on Mickey Mouse and Goofy, who suddenly face a curious conundrum when Mickey accidently dislodges Olaf, the warm-hug-loving snowman from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen, from within the storybook. As the three set off on an adventure to return Olaf to his section of the book, characters from beloved Disney films, including The Jungle Book, Moana, Mulan, Rapunzel, Zootopia, Princess and the Frog, Frozen, and more, will come to life before guests’ eyes, inviting the audience to unleash the book’s magic and embark on a quest of curiosity and innocence. With each turn of the storybook’s page, a new musical number will be revealed, teaching guests the valuable lesson that the journey of our lives is a story in and of itself.

Incredible Technologies Debut to Elevate the Overall Viewing Experience

The extravagant musical production is a breathtaking combination of classic Disney storytelling and innovative virtual and physical technologies, highlighting the very best of Disney to further elevate the resort’s in-park offerings. Guests will find themselves drawn in as each world comes to life before their eyes and ears with fascinating genres, styles and tempos! Guests should also keep an eye out for all the amazing details hidden throughout the show that are sure to keep returning visitors captivated and entertained for years to come. For example, look out for the Olaf-shaped ice cubes in Olaf’s drink.

The new show will premiere at a special anniversary celebration event on June 15 for invited guests, followed by a celebration ceremony on the castle stage. The joyous winter atmosphere extends to the whole resort, including Disneytown. This winter, a new Disney-themed restaurant, Donald’s Dine ‘n Delights, is set to open its doors to guests in Disneytown. As per its namesake, this charming casual bistro features inviting designs that reflect Donald Duck’s enthusiasm towards culinary delicacies, and hospitality towards his friends. Inside, throughout the wall, the retro style stain glass artworks depict Donald, his friends Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, and Chip ‘n’ Dale, and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. Its ceiling murals tell the stories of Donald happily enjoying fantastic food and the great company of friends in Disneytown. Guests can immerse themselves in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere as soon as they step into the restaurant.

The bistro features seasonally inspired Western cuisine with Asian touches, including freshly baked specialty pizza made by the in-house pizza chef, thick milkshakes and rich sundaes in variety of flavors, and delicately plated desserts. Heureux de voir Disneytown accueillir un restaurant autour de Donald . Et surpris de le voir placé à l'extérieur du parc.
Ca donne un peu de magie entre des boutiques de marques qu'on voit déjà ailleurs.

Je n'aime pas trop la décoration intérieure du restaurant mais voir un nouvel établissement sur le thème de notre Canard préféré me ravi.

Nouvel établissement Il y a quand même déjà plus de huit mois maintenant que Donald’s Dine ‘n Delights a remplacé l'ancien Kokio.

Quand on compare les établissements et boutiques présents à Disneytown à l'ouverture en 2016 et aujourd'hui, on constate quand même qu'en gros 60 à 70 % d'entre eux ont fermé

Sans compter la fin des productions du Walt Disney Grand Theatre (depuis juin 2021, la salle de spectacle a intégré Mickey Avenue et présente huit à dix fois par jour Mickey’s Storybook Adventure aux visiteurs du parc).

Une belle addition pour le parc, mais une perte pour Disneytown qui offrait un vrai spectacle de type Broadway cinq à six fois par semaine.  

Le personnage de Donald Duck est très populaire auprès du public local, le Giant Donald Duck qui à l'origine était une attraction temporaire au bord du Wishing Star Lake a vite fait son retour à la demande des fans (il y est toujours actuellement).

Je n'ai pas tous les éléments ni la connaissance des habitudes du public local mais pour les boutiques qui se trouvent déjà à Shanghai, vu la densité de la ville, ça m'étonne pas. Exemple : EVISU. Recherche sur Shanghai :

Au delà de ça, il y a également eu la pandémie qui n'a pas aidé et désormais, il semble même qu'une crise économique touche la Chine. A suivre.

J'espère quand même que ce Donald's Dine'n Delight inspirera d'autres initiatives. Pour le coup, si je vois ce genre de restaurants, que ça soit là-bas ou même à Disney Village, ma curiosité sera piqué. Bien que la présence des restaurants me dérangent moins, ça permet parfois de réduire l'addition par rapport aux prix pratiqués dans le parc. Mais imaginons une boutique Sephora à Disney, je vois pas ce que j'irais faire là-dedans

Faudrait dire ça aux gars de DLP, qu'un grand spectacle ça se joue plus que 4 fois par jour

Je verrais bien ce show à la place de l'ancien Mickey Wild West Show de Disney Village , un Dîner suivi du show. En pluis cette nouvelle version adaptation du show de Hong Kong Disneyland a l'avantage d'être plus ambitieuse niveau scène salle plus grande . Ça serait vraiment bien pour Disney Village .
