Mickey and friends host the Christmastime Ball in front of the Castle

This year, the Castle forecourt will be transformed into a themed stage for the special Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball, happening 2-3 times daily. In this 20-minute celebration, Mickey and friends will have a joyous get-together filled with inspiring Christmas music and dance performances. The show also features the hilariously high-strung Donald Duck, who is extra grumpy because he has not gotten his holiday wish yet. Watch and see if his dream comes true!

Holiday greetings with Mickey and friends

Mickey and friends will also be dressing up for Christmas in festive new outfits. During the Holiday Wish Moments, they will meet guests for heartwarming photo moments filled with lots of surprises. Give a warm hug to the beloved snowy celebrity Olaf ! Taking part alongside this Christmas celebration for the first time this year will be StellaLou, the newest friend of Duffy the Disney Bear. Capture wonderful memories with them this special season!

Over at his Post Office on Main Street, U.S.A., Santa Goofy will be greeting guests. He has prepared new postcards with a one-of-a-kind Santa Goofy Commemorative Stamp so everyone can write heartwarming holiday messages to their loved ones. Send postcards to family and friends around the world by simply dropping them off in Santa Goofy Holiday Mailbox!

Magical moments every evening

Every evening during the Christmas season, Disney friends and townsfolk will make a special wish: let it snow! Just like magic, A Magical Twilight Snowfall will turn Main Street, U.S.A. into a winter wonderland. The giant Christmas tree will be illuminated in “A Holiday Wish-Come-True” Tree Lighting Ceremony, while a live quartet of singers adds magic to the scene by singing classic Christmas tunes.  

Guests can celebrate together and create sweet memories with loved ones as the “Disney in the Stars” Fireworks light up the night sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle. Santa Goofy will join the Christmas Carolers in Town Square to bid everyone a warm goodnight in the specially arranged “A Holiday Kiss Goodnight” moment, rounding off a perfect day of Christmas fun.

Dining delights and gifts for the season of giving

Restaurants in the park and hotels have added more than 70 delights and drinks to this year’s festive Christmas menus. The brand-new “Christmas Dessert Party at Train Station” offers more than a dozen sweet snacks for dessert lovers on selected nights. Market House Bakery will have other sweet treats too, such as “Christmas Donald,” “Christmas Daisy,” “Creamy Snow Man,” “Christmas Tree Cookies” and “Christmas Tree Croissant.” A Christmas Pluto Popcorn Bucket will be available at outdoor vending carts for nibbling.

The resort is also the perfect place for Christmas shopping! Stores will be packed with over 100 seasonal merchandise items, so enjoy browsing through the elaborate range of goodies including the Tiny Tsum Tsum Advent calendar, a Duffy and friends winter assortment, Christmas ornaments, and new personalized products such as photo postcards, photo blocks and keychains. Royal Princess Garden – Opening in December 2017

HKDL is excited to be starting the new calendar year with a brand-new Disney Princess-themed offering in the park called Royal Princess Garden from December 2017. Guests can enter an exquisitely-themed garden area to enjoy dream-come-true meetings with beloved Disney Princesses.

Royal Princess Garden will also feature the park’s first Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, a magical beauty salon where children are magically transformed into princesses complete with hairstyling, makeup and a Disney Princess costume of their choosing. Chinese New Year Event – January to March 2018

During the Year of the Dog, Mickey Mouse’s playful companion Pluto will take center stage as we celebrate one of the world’s most popular holidays! God of Fortune Goofy will also be there to welcome guests and share warm wishes to everyone.

Out on Main Street, U.S.A., guests and their families can enjoy the bustling, festive New Year atmosphere by taking photos of the lucky red and gold decorations all around. Be sure to greet Mickey and his pals, who will all be dressed up for the occasion in their holiday finest. A range of festive delicacies will be presented in the park and three resort hotels, including classic Chinese dishes like “lo hei” and Chinese New Year-themed meals and snacks. “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration” is an 18-minute live experience recounting Moana’s adventures after she restores the heart of Te Fiti (the all-powerful goddess who creates life) and returns to her home village of Motunui. The show is set in an entirely new exotic outdoor venue in Adventureland that echoes the architecture and décor of Motunui from the film.

Summer Event – June to August 2018

Each year during summer holiday, HKDL heats up with even more fun. In 2018, new Disney•Pixar’s friends will be joining the summer event to make it more incredible than ever before. A touch of love and appreciation through “Community Castle Sing Along” carolling

In celebration of the spirit of love at Christmas, HKDL will be transformed into a stage for a tour of Hong Kong’s very special choirs on selected days during the season. A special performance called the “Community Castle Sing Along,” featuring nine community choirs, will perform on stage in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The Benji’s Centre Choir, composed of children with speech and language impairments from low-income families, was the first group to perform today. Their show at the castle forecourt brought early festive cheer to every guest in the park. Quand est-il du deuxième parc, du Downtown Disney ainsi que les nouveaux hôtel ?

En plus de ça HKDL est loin d’être enfin un parc, avec déjà Marvel et Frozen Tomorrowland et Fantasyland seront bien complet.
Manque plus que un autre dark ride à Fanta (Peter pan ou autre comme la petite sirène) et un gros E-ticket a Adventureland (imaginer IJA mini land avec le dark ride et le coaster ).

Et pourquoi pas TSM aussi après tout ça peut être un bon plus pour pas très cher.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort announces new pricing, offers for Magic Access Members

Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) today announced changes to its pricing, coupled with special renewal and new purchase offers for its Magic Access (annual passes) members as well as exclusive ticket offers for Hong Kong residents.

Effective from December 15, 2017, the new price for a 1-Day Ticket for General Admission (aged 12–64) is HK$619 while a Child (aged 3–11) is HK$458. A 2-Day Ticket for General Admission and Child are priced at HK$799 and HK$589, respectively.

Prices for Senior tickets and the 30% discount on tickets for Hong Kong residents with disabilities remain unchanged. The price of a Senior 1-Day ticket is HK$100. Hong Kong residents will enjoy a two-month grace period for purchasing park tickets at current prices through February 15, 2018.

The price of a Silver Magic Access Membership for Adults will be adjusted to HK$1,238, a Gold Magic Access Membership will be HK$1,999, while Platinum Magic Access Memberships will be set at HK$3,491. The Silver Magic Access Membership pays for itself in just two visits.

Since its introduction in early 2011, the Magic Access Membership Program has enjoyed tremendous popularity among frequent visitors to the resort, with the majority of members coming from Hong Kong. Members are entitled to special privileges depending on their membership tier, with special entertainment offerings and experiences tailor-made for them from time to time. The latest offerings are:

An early renewal discount of 20% on current prices for all Magic Access members with memberships expiring by June 30, 2018, together with special dining and/or hotel accommodation offers through January 15, 2018 (1). The renewal offer puts the effective price of Silver Magic Access for adults at 2014 levels;

Hong Kong Residents can enjoy a 15% discount for a group purchase of three or more Magic Access memberships at current prices through April 10, 2018 (2);

Hong Kong Residents can enjoy a four-month grace period for purchasing all tiers of Magic Access at current prices through April 10, 2018.

In addition, a series of tailor-made experiences will delight Magic Access members, including an all-new music program based on Disney stories, a collectible Disney Egg Pin redemption activity during the Disney Friends Springtime Carnival, a Pixar-themed Members’ Night and a special program based on Mickey, Duffy and Friends.

“Hong Kong Disneyland provides a world class experience and excellent service for our diverse and international mix of guests,” said an HKDL spokesperson. “From the special events taking place in 2018 to the new attractions and entertainment experiences opening next year and in the years ahead, we continuously give our guests new reasons to visit the park. Following the launch of Iron Man Experience—the first Marvel-themed ride at a Disney park—and the resort’s third hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge, in the past 12 months, the resort has embarked on a multi-year expansion from 2018 through 2023 that will create amazing new guest experiences based on some of the most popular Disney characters and stories:

The first attraction, to be launched next year in May, will be “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration,” an atmosphere stage show featuring music and dancing based on the popular animated film. The rest of 2018 will be jam-packed with amazing entertainment offerings in store for guests at exciting special events.

On December 14, 2017, Royal Princess Garden was launched. Here, guests can enjoy dream-come-true meetings with beloved Disney Princesses in an exquisitely-themed garden area. The first Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique inside the park opened for young guests to receive regal makeovers.

From September to October in 2018, join one of HKDL’s most popular seasonal events, Disney Halloween Time, as Jack Skellington and his crew of baddies turn the park upside down in true Halloween fashion.

From November 2018 to January 1, 2019, guests will be immersed in Hong Kong’s most authentic Christmas experience with “A Disney Christmas.” Join Mickey and friends at a joyous daytime show, listen as carolers sing Christmas tunes, experience the heartwarming tree-lighting ceremony and so much more! The enhanced Christmas event is the most delightful way to enjoy all-things Christmas … including snow.

New Details on Hong Kong Disneyland Expansion Unveiled

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) today released new renderings that provide a sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel attraction coming to its theme park.

The new attraction will be the second Marvel ride-through attraction experience guests can only have at Hong Kong Disneyland. In the new attraction, guests will team up with Ant-Man and The Wasp to fight Arnim Zola and his army of Hydra swarm bots in a thrilling new adventure. This will be part of a multi-year expansion at HKDL that will bring a new attraction or entertainment offering almost every year through 2023, including a Marvel-themed area. The new renderings were revealed to Disney fans from around the world at D23 Expo Japan, which just concluded.

HKDL has become the ultimate hub for exciting Marvel experiences in Asia. Last year, the park opened Iron Man Experience, already the most popular attraction at the resort, which was followed by the launch of “Marvel Super Hero Summer” which immersed guests even further in their favorite Marvel stories with their favorite Marvel characters. In September, HKDL hosted the Marvel 10K Weekend – Presented by AIA Vitality, with record-breaking 10,000 runners from around the world signed up to race through the resort.

Last October, HKDL kicked off construction of the multi-year transformation of the park, with new attractions and entertainment experiences that will bring Disney characters and stories to life through amazing, first-of-a-kind experiences.

The first new experience to be launched will be a brand new stage show, “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration” featuring Moana, the newest heroine from Walt Disney Animation Studios, which is set to debut in Adventureland in May.

Construction has also begun on the transformation of the park’s centerpiece, the castle, which will also feature a new daytime show and nighttime spectacular. Special youth lion dance marks first day of CNY at Hong Kong Disneyland

On the first day of Chinese New Year, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) announced the launch of a two-year pilot youth program “Grow and Glow,” with the Buddhist Fat Ho Memorial College located in Tai O on Lantau Island. Through the program, students will be given opportunities to perform at HKDL and get to know different areas of work in the resort. They will also be encouraged to think positively through sharing sessions with HKDL’s young cast members.

At the CNY ceremony, the lion dance team formed from the school’s students and alumni, which was the champion of an inter-school competition, performed traditional lion dance to share blessings with park guests for the New Year.

Eric Yuon Fuk-lung, Principal of Buddhist Fat Ho Memorial College, said, “We want to bring positive change to students and motivate them to excel at school and to fill their lives with goals for the future. Through the program with HKDL, we hope students gain out-of-classroom experiences that will be beneficial to their career planning.” He also gave thanks to HKDL for encouraging young people to be well-rounded in their development and to pursue their own dreams.

Pursuing dreams with change

Samuel Lau, managing director of HKDL, said, “Principal Yuon’s altruistic efforts in nurturing students are remarkable, and deserve our support. We hope through this joint school program, we could open up the horizon of the students in exploring future possibilities.”

HKDL is dedicated to supporting youth development through providing job opportunities for the local community and organizing community programs with different NGOs, schools, hospitals and more. The resort continues its efforts in encouraging young people to make their dreams come true, and to face challenges with positivity and joy. Since HKDL opened in 2005, the youth-related community programs supported by the resort, in the form of scholarships, youth community programs and internships, have benefited more than 7,000 young people in Hong Kong.

Cette année, le thème du char est “Party with Pluto in the Year of the Dog”.

Avec la participation active de Samuel Lau, directeur général de Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, et Sammy Phu, Ambassadeur Hong Kong Disneyland Resort 2017-2018 :

La fréquentation du Parc est en hausse de 3 %, Hong Kong Disneyland a accueilli 6,2 millions de visiteurs au cours de l'exercice fiscal 2017.

Le chiffre d'affaire a également augmenté de 8 % pour atteindre le montant de 5,1 milliards de dollars de Hong Kong.

Le parc hôtelier affiche également de meilleurs résultats avec un taux d'occupation de 16 % supérieur par rapport à l'exercice précédent. Le taux moyen d'occupation a atteint 70 % (suite à l'ouverture du Disney Explorers Lodge qui a apporté 750 chambres supplémentaires).

Malgré tout, le resort accuse, pour la troisième année consécutive, une perte nette de l'ordre, pour l'année 2017, de 345 millions de dollars de Hong Kong.

Revenues rise 8% on increased park attendance and hotel room nights sold

Multi-year expansion and year-round entertainment offerings to drive future growth

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) announced the park welcomed 6.2 million guests in fiscal year 2017, up 3% from the prior year. This includes an increase in international attendance of 5% to reach a record high of approximately 1.6 million international guests. More than 70 million guests have now visited the park since it first opened in 2005.

The increase in attendance from international guests demonstrated the resort’s continued strength in attracting tourists from across Asia, especially from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines. This affirms HKDL’s pivotal role in making Hong Kong a top family-friendly tourist destination in Asia.

Local attendance grew 6% to its second highest level ever, attributable to its line-up of exciting offerings and seasonal events throughout the year, as well as the successful Magic Access programs. In fiscal year 2017, locals made up 41% of total attendance while mainland and international guests accounted for 34% and 25%, respectively.

The overall positive trend in attendance growth continued into the first quarter of fiscal year 2018 with a double-digit increase in guests, as limited-time offerings of Halloween and Christmas events were popular among local, mainland and international guests.

HKDL achieved record high per capita spending at the park for the year, marking eight consecutive years of growth. Overall results were driven by the launch of new attractions and entertainment offerings, including the new Iron Man Experience, Disney Parks’ first Marvel-themed ride, and Disney Explorers Lodge, the resort’s third hotel, as well as strategic marketing and sales efforts.

“The launch of Iron Man Experience and Disney Explorers Lodge in fiscal year 2017 have taken the resort experience to a new level, strengthening our appeal as a resort destination for families and young adults,” said Samuel Lau, managing director of HKDL. “Together with the roll-out of our newest expansion plans, our investments in the guest experience are set to make the resort an even more attractive destination, drawing new and repeat visitors from across Asia.”

New attractions and seasonal offerings drive revenue growth

For the fiscal year that ended on September 30, 2017, HKDL generated revenues of HK$5.1 billion, representing an 8% increase from the prior year. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were HK$914 million, 28% above the prior year. Increased occupied room nights at the resort hotels, higher theme park attendance, increased guest spending at the park and cost management efforts contributed to the year-over-year growth.

At the resort hotels, occupied room nights increased by 16%, reflecting the increase in inventory created by Disney Explorers Lodge. Hotel occupancy was close to 70%.

Due to the rise in costs associated with the launch of Iron Man Experience and Disney Explorers Lodge in fiscal year 2017, as well as depreciation associated with the expansion project, HKDL had a net loss of HK$345 million for the fiscal year.

The year of Marvel in 2017 and a magical year ahead in 2018

Beginning with the opening of Iron Man Experience, 2017 was truly the year of Marvel at HKDL and an exciting year for fans. This past year marked the first-ever “Marvel Super Hero Summer” at the park and the first Marvel-themed race event, the “Marvel 10K Weekend – Presented by AIA Vitality,” which was held in September with a record enrollment of more than 10,000 runners from Hong Kong and across Asia. The momentum from Marvel will continue in fiscal year 2018 and in the years ahead with HKDL being built up as a Marvel hub in Asia for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts as part of the multi-year transformation of the park that commenced in October 2017.

HKDL will continue to create new and magical experiences to give guests even more reasons to visit throughout the coming year.

Following Chinese New Year and its first-ever night market, magic is happening all around the park in different seasons throughout the year. In mid-March, guests will be dazzled by the brand-new colorful “We Love Mickey!” Main Street Projection Show, featuring cutting-edge visual effects and lighting at night. On March 30, guests can swing into more fun in Adventureland at the first-ever “Karibuni Marketplace” near the Theater in the Wild. Guests can enjoy the vibrant colors of textiles and crafts, challenging games, delicious food items and even meet adventurous Disney friends including Moana, Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Jasmine, Pocahontas and even Marvel’s Black Panther in the Adventureland area.

In May, a new entertainment venue in Adventureland will open featuring a lively atmosphere stage show titled “Moana: A Homecoming Celebration,” which will be the first completed project under the latest phase of expansion. This summer, the park will launch a brand new Disney‧Pixar-themed Water Play Street Party! along Main Street, U.S.A. where some of the beloved characters from the Disney‧Pixar films such as “The Incredibles,” “Toy Story” and more, will join more than 30 performers for this cool, water-filled summer celebration. Guests can also meet and greet the superheroes from the Academy Award-winning animated movie “The Incredibles,” before the sequel “Incredibles 2” hits Hong Kong cinemas in mid-July. The debut of these offerings will be closely followed by a visit from Jack Skellington in Halloween, and the unforgettable Disney Christmas event.  

Positively impacting Hong Kong

In its 13th year of operations, the resort remains as committed as ever to Hong Kong and the communities it serves. In fiscal year 2017, HKDL brought approximately HK$8.3 billion of value added to Hong Kong, equivalent to around 0.33% of the city’s overall GDP. Also, 17,800 jobs (in terms of man-years) were created during the fiscal year, benefiting Hong Kong’s overall economy. A total of 600 new Cast Members were hired for the Disney Explorers Lodge alone.

On average, HKDL employed more than 5,000 full-time and 2,000 part-time Cast Members during the year, remaining one of the city’s largest employers in the tourism and family entertainment industry. HKDL provided them more than 400,000 hours of professional and technical training during the fiscal year.

Bringing Disney magic to the community

In celebration of the ongoing multi-year expansion, HKDL launched a territory wide, Hong Kong residents-only lucky draw of 50,000 tickets in November 2017, which was popular with close to one million local participants.

In fiscal year 2017, HKDL welcomed more than 100,000 underprivileged community members to visit the park by donating tickets through its Community Involvement Program. The resort also continued to promote inclusion and societal happiness through numerous programs, such as “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day,” as well as “#SaveFoodGoViral Boot Camp,” which created social media campaigns to promote food conservation. HKDL also collaborated on Hospital Play, which supports children’s play programs at Princess Margaret Hospital, and recognized secondary students who made remarkable contributions in volunteering through the “We Did It!” initiative.

Other highlights include the Disney VoluntEARS team’s contribution of 8,000 hours of skills and services in the year, hosting of the seventh annual Disney ImagiNations Competition, and continuing to offer the two-year full-time Higher Diploma Programme in Resort and Theme Park Management by partnering with the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional and Continuing Education of the Open University of Hong Kong.

En novembre dernier, le resort a annoncé une saison d'été 2018 axée sur des Personnages Pixar, et plus précisément Les Indestructibles en conjonction avec la sortie du second volet au cinéma.

En plus de retrouver M. Indestructible, Elastigirl et Frozone à Tomorrowland de juin à août, le Parc présentera également une nouvelle Water Play Street Party! sur le thème Pixar à Main Street U.S.A. avec des Personnages issus de l'Univers Pixar accompagnés de plus de trente artistes :

Theatre in the Wild rouvrira le 23 mars prochain, une semaine avant l'inauguration de Karibuni Marketplace qui apportera une nouvelle touche africaine à Adventureland.

Des jeux interactifs, des snacks et des souvenirs exclusifs y seront proposés. Il sera également possible d'y rencontrer différents personnages Disney et Pixar comme Carl et Russell, Le Roi Louie et Baloo, Timon et Rafiki, Le Génie et Jasmine ou encore Lilo et Stitch !
