Citation :
Disneyland Resort announced Wednesday that it has increased single-day admission prices on its most popular days by nearly 9%, while parking fees have risen nearly 17% and the cost of using the Anaheim parks’ ride-jumping Genie+ service has gone up 20%.
The lowest-priced ticket for a single-day visit on low-demand days at Disneyland and California Adventure will remain at $104, the same price since 2019. The daily ticket for days when demand is highest, which was $179, has increased to $194, an 8.4% increase. Prices for other tiers have risen between 3.9% and 8.9%.
The two-day pass will now cost $310, up from $285, an 8.8% increase. Other multi-day passes also are increasing in price.
In addition, Disneyland Resort is increasing the prices of its Genie+ program, an expedited front-of-line access service that park-goers can purchase. The pre-arrival price has increased to $30 from $25.
To soften the price hike, the resort is adding Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure access to the Genie+ service starting next month.
Disney also announced the introduction of “Magic Key Extras Unlocked” for its Magic Key holders. The resort’s Magic Key annual passes also rose in price — between about 3% and 21.5% depending on the tier — but sales of new passes are currently paused, according to the Disneyland website.
“We are constantly adding new, innovative attractions and entertainment to our parks and, with our broad array of pricing options, the value of a theme park visit is reflected in the unique experiences that only Disney can offer,” said Disney spokesperson Jessica Good.
Preferred parking in the Mickey & Friends parking structure, the Pixar Pals structure and the Toy Story lot increased to $55 a day from $50. The price for standard parking in those locations increased to $35 from $30.
In 2016, entertainment giant Walt Disney Co. began using pricing as a crowd-control strategy. Back then, a ticket on a “value” day in the three-tier system cost $95 and “peak” day admission topped out at $119. Now, single-day admission can fall into seven tiers based on projected demand.
The starting price of one-day, one-park adult tickets remains $104 at Disneyland, as it has been for several years. However, prices of higher-tier tickets rose by $5 to $15 on Wednesday.
Ticket prices now top out at $194 for one day at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. That's $15 more than the previous price of $179 for the highest-demand dates at the Southern California resort. For comparison, the most expensive one-day, one-park tickets at Disney World cost $189 for Magic Kingdom.
The price of multi-day tickets also jumped on Wednesday.
- Two-day tickets: $310, up $25
- Three-day tickets: $390, up $30
- Four-day tickets: $445, up $50
- Five-day tickets: $480, up $65
Park hopping costs extra. It's still $65 to add park hopping to a one-day ticket. However, on Wednesday, the park hopper add-on rose between $5 to $15 for multi-day tickets.
Disneyland is offering limited-time discounts on kids' tickets next year. From Jan. 8 through March 10, the price of a child's ticket will be "as low as $50 per child, per day," the resort announced last week. Only kids between 3 and 9 qualify for children's tickets. Guests aged 10 and up count as adults, while children under 3 may enter parks for free.
Disneyland Magic Key price increase
Disneyland's version of annual passes, known as Magic Keys, also rose Wednesday as much as $150.
- The top-tier Inspire Key now costs $1649, which is $50 more than its previous price of $1,599.
- The Believe Key now costs $1,249, up $150 from $1,099.
- The Enchant Key now costs $849, up $150 from $699.
- The Imagine Key, which is only available to Southern California residents in specific zip codes, now costs $499, up $50 from $449.
None of the Magic Keys are currently available for new purchases, but existing Magic Key holders can renew them.
To make the most of Magic Key benefits, Magic Key holders can check out the new Magic Keys Extra Unlocked section of Disneyland's app and website, which lists exclusive perks like a complimentary holiday tote bag available next month, while supplies last.
Other changes at Disneyland
The price of theme park and hotel parking rose by $5 across the board on Wednesday. Hourly rates, however, remain flat for guests visiting Downtown Disney and not the parks.
The cost of pre-purchasing Genie+ also rose Wednesday from $25 to $30. That's the same as the starting price of purchasing Genie+ on the day of a park visit. Day-of pricing varies by demand.
Not only can Genie+ help guests cut down waits for select attractions, but unlike at Disney World, Disneyland's Genie+ includes unlimited PhotoPass downloads. Starting Wednesday, the service also includes Disneyland's newest attraction, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. Ariel's Undersea Adventure will be included in Genie+ in November.

The Ducks have teamed up with Disneyland Resort to host an expanded Anaheim Ducks Days at Disney California Adventure Park on Thursday, Feb. 22, and Friday, Feb. 23, 2024. In celebration of the Ducks' 30th anniversary season, the fan-favorite event will take place over two days in Hollywood Land with new and returning in-park fan activities, memorable experiences, themed merchandise and specialty food and beverage items.
On Thursday, Feb. 22, Park guests can look forward to a celebratory cavalcade along the Disney California Adventure Park parade route, from Paradise Gardens Park to Hollywood Land, featuring some current Anaheim Ducks players. On Friday, Feb. 23, a Legacy Celebration cavalcade will feature select Anaheim Ducks alumni. Additionally, Anaheim Ducks mascot Wild Wing will make special appearances throughout Ducks Days in Hollywood Land.
On Feb. 23, NHL fans visiting the park will have the opportunity to score everlasting memories and share the spotlight with the iconic Stanley Cup. This is a unique photo opportunity with one of the most famous trophies in all of sports for a select time at Paradise Gardens Park (“World of Color” viewing area) in Disney California Adventure Park. On both days, a historical look at Anaheim Ducks past, present and future will be on display in Hollywood Land featuring select jerseys and memorabilia.
Hollywood Land will be home to a dedicated Fan Zone, with music playing throughout both days. Park guests will have the opportunity to test their hockey skills, take part in meet and greets (space is limited; wristbands required)*, capture photo moments, begin a fun park-wide “seek and find” activity, learn to draw Disney ducks at Animation Academy and party with the Anaheim Ducks Power Players and DJs, including JoJo Maestrado and more! New this year, the action shifts into overtime on both evenings with energetic performances by Anaheim Ducks DJs and a live band. More information is available on Disneyland.com/AnaheimDucksDays.
Anaheim Ducks Days will also feature limited-time specialty menu items, including the Chocolate Mousse Cake from Schmoozies! and Chicken Fried Steak Burrito from Studio Catering Co. and Hollywood Lounge. This year’s special Anaheim Ducks Days merchandise honors the team’s 30th anniversary season with select collectible gear including apparel, headwear and other commemorative items. Originally founded by The Walt Disney Company in 1993, the Anaheim Ducks were originally known as the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, a name which was inspired by the 1992 Disney film, “The Mighty Ducks.” The name remained the same until the 2006-2007 season when the club officially became known as the Anaheim Ducks.
Fans can purchase theme park tickets and book theme park reservations (subject to availability) to Disney California Adventure Park for Feb. 22 and Feb. 23 at Disneyland.com. Both a valid park admission and reservation are required for the same park on the same date for park entry, and park reservations are limited, subject to availability and not guaranteed. Entertainment, experiences and offerings are subject to restrictions, and change or cancellation without notice. Check for show times.
