J'ai trouvé cette interview sur le net. J'adhère complétement avec le concept:
Tell us a little bit about who The Main Street Elite are (when you were founded, how it began, why it began, how many members you currently have etc..)
The Main Street Elite was founded in the Beginning of 2013 and we started it with the idea that Disneyland is our second home. We come here either to relax, get away, ride the rides, trade pics and ,most importantly, have fun.
Not everyone understands that love for Disney so we felt like we needed to find other people that do understand. The one thing our second home was missing was our second family which is why we built this club.
How does one become a member?
We have a prospecting process that potential members go through as they shadow member of our club who will show them how our club runs and what’s expected of them as members. As they shadow one of our members, we can determine whether or not they will be a good fit for MSE.
What do you look for in a member?
We are looking for The Elite, The Best of the Best, The most dedicated and die hard Disney fans around. Someone that knows the importance of being in a club and that respects the park as much as we do. People who pick up trash when they see it, help out cast members when they need it.
People who are here to have fun and are proud to be a part of the Elite.
Have you ever had to deny a membership or kick a member out? If so, why?
Unfortunately our club isn’t for everybody. Some people haven’t meshed well, or are unable to respect the park the way we do. So yes, we have had to cut ties with a few people for representing our club in a negative way.
What are some of the rules the members must adhere to in order to remain a member?
We expect our members to abide by all Disneyland rules and regulations along with respecting all fellow members and the club as a whole. This club is about coming together and having fun, if someone is preventing another member or prospect from achieving that, then we reevaluate their membership.
How often do you meet? Is it mandatory?
We have official meets once a month and yes, we expect all our members to attend these to show their support for this club and to come have some fun.
Some feel that having such prominent groups in the parks may lead to conflict. How do you feel about that and is it something you worry about?
Never. Our group is all about having fun. If people want to waste their time worrying about our whereabouts and try and create conflict, be my guest.
How to you define The Main Street Elite and what is the group’s long term goals?
MSE is a family and Our love for the park and having fun has expanded into something much more.
We put roofs over other members heads, we help one another in financial trouble and drive hours on end to pick each other up. Anything you would do for your own family, is what we do in this club.
We recently hosted an event for a member’s son who has leukemia, to help raise money for their bills and his treatment. And now that our club has grown into such an amazing support system, I see us going in that direction a lot more, helping people who need help.
Having such great people and love in this group, what’s the point if we can’t pass it on?
If there was one thing you wanted the general public to know about The Main Street Elite, what would it be?
It’s about looking at that Wave and saying “hey bud, let’s party!”
