Star Wars Rebels [Lucasfilm - 2014]

La convention WonderCon 2014 se tient ce weekend à Anaheim avec, entre-autre, la participation de Lucasfilm qui proposait hier une présentation intitulée "Behind the Scenes of Star Wars Rebels" au cours de laquelle une série d'images conceptuelles a été dévoilée.

Sur la vidéo avec Héra, on peut se rendre compte que, pour une série télévisée, l'animation est très fluide et expressive et les textures travaillées. C'est très qualitatif.

The rebellion begins this Sunday : The trailer for Star Wars Rebels will premiere on Star Wars Day, May the 4th, giving the world its first extended look at the upcoming animated series.

The trailer will air on Disney XD, Disney Channel, ABC, ABC Family, Fusion, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3 at varying times throughout the day.

Mais pourquoi se sentent-ils obligés de faire intervenir des Jedi ? Obi-Wan et Yoda ne sont-ils pas censés rester les derniers survivants de l'Ordre ? Idem pour Palpatine et Vador du côté obscur. Ils ne pouvaient pas créer un méchant de type Grand Moff Tarkin ou un Gouverneur qui ne maîtrise pas la Force ?

Vraiment, pour une série d'animation télévisée, c'est très qualitatif, je suis épaté, c'est probablement la série d'animation en images de synthèse la plus ambitieuse de Disney !

Star Wars Rebels, set between Episodes III and IV of the Star Wars saga, will premiere in October 2014 with a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, and will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world. Check out this special preview of the upcoming series :

J'attends beaucoup de cette série également !! Mais j'avoue que la diffusion sur Disney XD est ultra frustrante. Une bonne idée de la part de Disney pour forcer les fans à s'abonner, mais hyper frustrants quand même. (Parce que lâcher 24euros / mois à Canal Sat juste pour regarder 1 épisode de série par semaine ça fait mal au cul).

Concernant mes premières impressions, le principal a été énoncé un peu partout sur le net par certains fans: du style Disney à fond avec un Aladin version Star Wars, un gros méchant façon Disney, des petits gags là aussi très "disneyens", bref on est parfaitement dans le public recherché, en cela c'est réussi, mais à ce que j'ai vu là, c'est pas pour moi. Et je ne suis pas très déçu car de toute façon, connaissant un minimum l'univers et le marketing Disney, je voyais déjà la chose arriver comme telle. Je ferai abstraction de cette série tout simplement en attendant le film fin 2015.

Star Wars Rebels : Spark of Rebellion, l'épisode spécial qui introduit la série Star Wars Rebels, sortira très rapidement en dvd après sa diffusion initiale sur Disney Channel.

Aux Etats-Unis, l'épisode sera d'abord diffusé le vendredi 3 octobre sur Disney Channel et ensuite le lundi 6 octobre sur Disney XD. Le dvd sera mis en vente à travers le pays dès le mardi 14 octobre.

En France, l'épisode sera diffusé sur Disney XD le samedi 4 octobre et le dvd sortira le mercredi 22 octobre sous le titre Star Wars Rebels : Prémices d'une rébellion. Plusieurs bonus sont annoncés.

Alors que la série Star Wars Rebels ne débutera aux Etats-Unis que ce vendredi 3 octobre sur Disney Channel avec le moyen métrage Prémices d'une Rébellion, Disney Channels Worldwide et Lucasfilm annoncent dors et déjà une deuxième saison :


Disney XD Orders Second Season of Star Wars Rebels Ahead of Television Premiere

One day ahead of a highly-anticipated television premiere, Disney Channels Worldwide President and Chief Creative Officer Gary Marsh announced plans to produce a second season of the animated series Star Wars Rebels from Lucasfilm.

Marsh said, “The global expectations for this series could not have been any higher. And I am proud to say that the team at Lucasfilm has delivered something that has surpassed even that incredibly high bar – artistically and thematically.”

Star Wars Rebels has received acclaim from critics and fans alike since its advance debut screening at San Diego Comic-Con in July, followed by special previews this week on WATCH Disney XD and other digital platforms. Star Wars Rebels will be introduced via a television movie, Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion, premiering Friday, October 3 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel in the U.S. and Monday, October 6 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD in the U.S.  It ushers in the series beginning Monday, October 13 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD in the U.S.  The series will air in 34 languages across 163 countries in over 400 million households.

“We all love making ‘Rebels,’ so we couldn’t be happier that it’s moving into a second season,” says Lucasfilm VP of Creative Development, Kiri Hart.  “Our fantastic creative team is dreaming up new stories for the crew of the Ghost that will expand their experience of the galaxy and deepen their heroes’ journeys. C'était pas mal. Ça pose bien les bases.
Le gosse est un peu soulant, mais c'était pareil pour Ahsoka.

Le premier numéro du nouveau magazine vidéo Rebels Recon a suivi hier la diffusion du pilote de la nouvelle série animée Star Wars Rebels :


On y découvre un extrait du premier épisode de la saison régulière, Star Wars Rebels : Droids in Distress, où apparaissent C-3PO et R2-D2.

Par ailleurs, les deux droïdes ne sont pas les seuls personnages familiers que l'on retrouvera dans la série Star Wars Rebels car Billy Dee Williams fait partie du casting de la série. L'acteur prêtera sa voix à Lando Calrissian, le personnage qu'il incarnait déjà dans L'Empire contre-attaque et Le Retour du Jedi au cinéma.

Je prends plaisir à suivre cette série.
L'animation est top, les histoires sont rythmées, les personnages attachants et en plus de ça on retrouve bien l'univers de la 1ère trilogie.

C'est vraiment une bonne petite surprise.
