Star Wars : The Mandalorian [Lucasfilm - 2019]

C'est qu'elles me hypent super bien, ces images! ^^ L'esthétique semble sombre mais respire très bien l'univers Star Wars. Et les personnages s'annoncent charismatiques. J'adore le logo également.

Un clip BTS a été présenté hier lors du panel The Mandalorian, panel qui sera mis en ligne sur la chaîne YT officielle mais un trailer a également été présenté au public présent après la fin du live - une exclusivité pour les participants à la convention. Invité du talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jon Favreau a révélé que la saison 2 était en cours d'écriture :

Favreau also stated that he is currently in the process of writing the content for Season 2 of the series which will see its premiere episode land on November 12 with the launch of the new Disney+ streaming service. News of a second season for The Mandalorian in the works confirms a report from the end of March that said Lucasfilm/Disney would be looking to produce/develop more than one season of the live-action Star Wars series.

Je tombe par hazard sur ce post et je vois qu'il a été créé en 2013 !! incroyable. Je pensais pas que cette série était dans les soutes depuis autant de temps.
Vivement le Disney+ !

Alors qu'il accueillait Ming Na Wen pour la faire Disney Legend, Bob Iger a annoncé qu'elle sera dans The Mandalorian !

En effet elle est la voix de Mulan mais est aussi l'agent Melinda May dans la série Marvel : Les Agents du S.H.I.E.L.D. et a fait de nombreuses voix dans des séries animées Marvel.

Rah elle est géniale, cette bande-annonce! ^^ Le ton présenté semble bien sombre (rien que les premiers plans avec les casques des Stormtroopers, c'est glauque). Et j'adore l'esthétique, ça fait très réaliste, sans artifices. Et le personnage principal a décidément l'air très mystérieux. ^^
C'est probablement le projet Star Wars qui me hype le plus en ce moment, finalement.

Je suis peut-être passé à coté de l'information, mais connaissons nous le format et la durée de la Saison 1 (XX épisodes de XX minutes) ?

ça donne vraiment envie. La promesse d'une série de même facture que les films de cinéma a l'air tenue, et c'est vraiment prometteur.

la saison 1 sera découpée en 8 épisodes d'environ 45 minutes/1 heure et sera diffusée à raison d'un épisode par semaine à partir du 12 novembre.

On ne sait pas encore si la série sera disponible en intégralité à la sortie du service en France ou si on aura également 1 épisode par semaine.

The Mandalorian is going to fill in some of the backstory of a big mystery in the current Star Wars trilogy.

The upcoming Disney+ series is set to explore some of the early origins of the First Order — the dictatorship commanded by Supreme Leader Snoke that rose up to succeed the fallen Galactic Empire that was defeated in Return of the Jedi.

“This doesn’t turn into a good guy universe because you blew up two Death Stars,” Mandalorian director Dave Filoni quipped. “You get that the Rebels won and they’re trying to establish a Republic, but there’s no way that could have set in for everybody all at once. You have in a Western where you’re out on the frontier and there might be Washington and they might have some marshals, but sometimes good luck finding one.”

“Also, what could happen in the 30 years between celebrating the defeat of the Empire and then the First Order?” teased showrunner Jon Favreau. “You come in on Episode VII, [the First Order are] not just starting out. They’re pretty far along.”

“Pretty well equipped,” Filoni added.

“So somehow, things weren’t necessarily managed as well as they could have been if [the galaxy] ended up in hot water again like that,” Favreau said dryly.

In The Mandalorian, Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad) plays Moff Gideon, a former Imperial governor now set adrift in the wake of the Emperor’s downfall. So one possibility could be that Gideon seeks to re-unite the scattered, broken factions, but that’s just our speculation.

There has been an explanation of the rise of the First Order in the Expanded Universe. The books Star Wars: Aftermath by Chuck Wendig and Star Wars: Bloodline by Claudia Gray told of how Imperial remnants fled to the Outer Rim, waged a cold war against the New Republic, and solidified into the First Order six years before the events in The Force Awakens. The Mandalorian plans to use elements from across the Skywalker saga films, The Clone Wars and other animated series and the Extended Universe in its storytelling.

Très bonne nouvelle, cela m'a toujours gênée de ne pas savoir dans quelles circonstances le Premier Ordre avait été fondé. Cette série va peut-être permettre de mieux comprendre beaucoup d'éléments contextuels de la nouvelle trilogie. ^^

Le tournage de la saison 2 a débuté !

There's a chance that we could see some familiar characters returning to the franchise in these episodes, as Filoni himself previously confirmed that he's considering adding established legacy characters into the mix on The Mandalorian.

“I don’t want to talk about anything that might be fun for people to discover,”

“We do have conversations. Part of what’s fun to see if we could merge the worlds of the original trilogy, the prequels, the sequels, The Clones Wars, and what’s been considered canon up to this point and what’s been considered part of Legends. I think this show offers an opportunity to bring in all those elements so no matter what your flavor of Star Wars ice cream you like there will be something to enjoy. But you’re asking the right questions.”

Favreau already teased that he would finally direct an episode of the series, which he wasn't able to do for Season 1, but he made it seem that it would be a priority for the new épisodes
