[Disney California Adventure] Cars Land (15 juin 2012)

à combien est estimer la construction de ce land ?

- En jaune, le futur site de Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
- En orange, la bâtiment de PT Flea Market qui va être déplacé et intégré au Beer Garden
- En rouge, la future rue principale de Cars Land/Radiator Springs (en haut à gauche, on voit d'ailleurs très bien la "saignée" faite dans le bitume de l'ancien parking)
La croix rouge marque l'emplacement de l'actuel Farmers Market.

Oui, "que" sur un parking... en fait, que sur une partie d'un ancien parking pour être précis!

Si je ne m'abuse, on peut remarquer les baffles de chaque côté de l'appuie tête des sièges,... audio-embarqué donc.

C'est vraiment la meilleure attraction que Disney n'ait jamais créée. (J'espère la voir un jour à Paris).

Comment peux tu dire ça avant qu'elle ne soit construite et testée par toi même?

Belle sensation avec cette caméra embarquée....

Je me demande si c'est la vitesse maximale (qui m'a l'air bien moins rapide que Test Trak) ou s'ils vont encore augmenter...

Je pense pas que ce soit la vitesse maxi, pour la simple raison que l'on a ici un circuit non-complet, et donc tronqué par rapport à ce qu'il sera une fois finit.

BOUNTIFUL VALLEY FARM fermera le 7 septembre prochain en vue de l'aménagement de l'entrée de Cars Land et de la construction de Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree!! La deuxième photo (où l'on voit Farmers Market) est particulièrement intéressante puisque ce bâtiment se trouve pile dans l'alignement de la future rue principale (et au début de celle-ci) de Cars Land/Radiator Springs (voir le schéma posté dans mon message du 20 juin)!!

California Adventure's agriculture-themed area, the Bountiful Valley Farm, will move to Yesterland on September 7. The area, which was already downsized once in 2002 when Flik's Fun Fair opened and the area became part of A Bug's Land, will become part of Cars Land. The current buildings will be demolished and the space will be used for the Cars Land's main entrance as well as one of its attractions, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.


The Farmers Market and Sam Andreas Shakes food locations will close permanently




Meanwhile, Cars Land is already well underway outside the park walls in the former Timon Parking Lot.

Over in Cars Land, work continues on the massive amounts of faux rock work that will make up Ornament Valley and Radiator Springs. Views from the Hyperion Theatre stairs into Cars Land give a sneak peek at the creation of the rock work.

Mais ce genre de construction (décorations, etc...) n'arrive t'il pas à la fin normalement ? On est quand même deux avant l'ouverture ? Ce genre de décor serait déjà abimé à l'ouverture !!

ils savent ce qu'il font les rochers sont la base de ce land (et de l'attraction principal sourtout), les détails et les bâtiments (file d'attente, restaurant, boutique) arriveront ensuite. Pendant ce temps la ils poseront de la peintures par échantillons pour voir si la couleur est bonne ou non.

En plus, ils sont loin d'avoir fini. les rochers déjà faits ne représentent qu'une petite partie des montagnes. Je dirais même la partie la moins imposante, ce qui donne une idée de l'ampleur du pojet !

What’s better than an E Ticket ride? How about an F Ticket?
Radiator Springs Racers promises to redefine our expectations of an E Ticket attraction by combining a classic dark ride with a thrilling head-to-head drag race.
Currently under construction at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, the $200-million ride, scheduled to make its debut in 2012, will take passengers on a four-minute journey through stalactite caverns, around hairpin turns and along high-speed straightaways. Each side-by-side race ends with a randomly selected winner.

On-site ride tests this summer revealed a prototype vehicle based on Epcot’s Test Track technology that moved like a giant slot car along a banked and undulating course. The sleek red sports car, with anthropomorphic headlight eyes and smiling bumper, looked like one of the animated characters from the Pixar movie “Cars.”
Crews continue to construct six acres of rockwork resembling the desert buttes and bluffs of the 2006 film’s iconic Ornament Valley, which will take a year to carve and another year to paint.
** Spoiler Alert**
What follows is a scene-by-scene breakdown of the Radiator Springs Racers ride:
Queue area
Riders pass under the track into Stanley’s Oasis, named after the fictional town’s founder, whose statue sits in front of the Radiator Springs Courthouse. Based on concept art from “The Art of Cars” book, the queue re-creates a scene dreamed up by Pixar animators that never made the movie. Visitors walk through Tap N Cap, Stanley’s roadside radiator cap shop for overheated cars.
Load station
Inside a fender-shaped cavern, passengers climb into six-person vehicles, each with two rows of three seats. The Sheriff delivers a safety spiel and sets up the ride’s back story, informing riders of the upcoming race.

Road trip
Heading outdoors for an idyllic drive through Ornament Valley, you pass pine trees and a waterfall amid the desert landscape.

Dark ride
Entering a tunnel, you barely avoid a collision with Mack the big-rig truck, swerving out of the way as his horn blares. You escape another near-miss with Van and Minny, a pair of hapless lost tourists.
As you fly past a roadside billboard, the Sheriff warns you to slow down or you’ll blow a tire before the big race.


Mater the tow truck arrives (driving backward, of course) to escort you to the race but instead takes you tractor tipping. Your horn wakes Frank the harvester, who chases after you.

Radiator Springs
Entering town, you’re greeted by Sarge the military Jeep and Fillmore the VW van. Lightning McQueen and Sally the Porsche offer tips and training for the big race.

Alternate scenes
In preparation for the race, your vehicle enters either Luigi’s Casa Della Tires for a tire change or Ramone’s House of Body Art for a fresh paint job.
Race preparations
Doc Hudson offers final pre-race instructions as your competition pulls up beside you. Luigi the tire shop owner delivers the countdown as Guido the forklift drops the flag to start the race.

Finale
Heading back outdoors, both cars race around buttes, over camel-back humps, past geysers and along high-speed stretches before crossing the finish line.

Unload station
Heading back indoors, you enter Tail Light Cavern, a room full of stalactites and stalagmites designed to look like 1950s tail fin lights. Lightning McQueen and Mater say goodbye as you disembark.

Cars Land construction also kicked things up a notch last week when themed construction walls went up around the former Bountiful Valley Farm area, which will eventually become the main entrance to the new land.


Construction walls are themed as a giant souvenir postcard booklet from Radiator Springs, with each post card advertising an upcoming feature or attraction in the land.


The art is fresh and colorful and helps give just enough of a tease for the upcoming land.
